In the US it’s the third highest spending holiday, only behind Christmas and Valentine’s, and in the UK Mother’s Day generates close to £2 billion in consumer spending.

Mother’s Day Gamified Promotions

With such figures to show for it, and considering that game applications have become a leading trend in digital marketing, why not put two and two together and launch a gamified promotion to celebrate Mother’s Day? So, to make it Easy for you, we’ve put together some examples of online Mother’s Day games to entertain and engage your audience and generate leads.

A few words on participation flow

Before we delve into specific ideas for Mother’s Day games, let’s take a minute to cross the t’s and dot the i’s on participation flow. As you very well know, lead generation campaigns rely on participants filling out a registration form to participate or play a game. However, we are all aware that this is the step where the risk of losing a potential lead is greatest. To sidestep this participation barrier, the Easypromos platform allows you to configure the participation flow in three different ways:

 • Participants register first and then play the game. This modality has the advantage of asking users for their information straight off the bat, but it also has a higher risk of potential participants dropping out.
 • Participants play first and register after the game. This option will allow participants to enjoy the game before anything else is asked of them. You may then tell participants that since they have completed the challenge, they are now eligible for a prize (or a prize draw) and to do so, they need to fill out the registration form.
 • Anonymous participation. If the objective of your promotion is simply to entertain your audience, you could configure the promotion so that registration is not necessary and users play for the sake of playing. No lead generation here, but happy customers, for sure!

Word Search Mother’s Day Game

Mother’s Day is all about showing appreciation and telling moms how we feel about them. Thus, a word-related game makes all the sense and we have just the right idea for that: an all-time classic Word Search in digital format. Choose the words you want to share with mom and challenge her to find them in the shortest time possible. You can then configure the game to distribute prizes, coupons, or discount codes.

Mother's Day Game, Word Search

Mother’s Day Word Shuffle Game

If you’re looking for something a bit different but still want to play with words, here’s another option: Word Shuffle! In this game, participants have to unscramble the letters to find out the hidden word or phrase. Since we know that there is so much we can tell mom, the game allows you to set up the game with between one and 25 shuffles from among up to 500 words or phrases that you can upload!

Mother's Day Game Idea, Word Shuffle

Mother’s Day Gamified Promotion: Hidden Objects

If you are looking for a more visual game to promote your product or brand, a Hidden Objects game will do the trick. In this game, you can “hide” images of your product, logo, or whatever you choose and challenge participants to find them in the background image. Both the hidden objects’ images and background are fully customizable.

Mother's Day Game Ideas, Hidden Objects

In this example, the American health and wellness brand VFinity launched a hidden objects game and shared it on its social media accounts. Users had to find the hidden flowers in the image to enter a prize draw for the chance to win a gift basket.

Mother’s Day Puzzle

Since we are discussing more “visual” games, how about a digital Puzzle? This is a classic, straightforward, easy-to-play game. What’s more, you can customize the image of the puzzle with your product’s image or even the prize you are planning to give away.

Mother's Day Games Puzzle

In this example, Mexican retailer Innova launched a Puzzle game in which the three users who completed the challenge in the fastest time would win a bundle of the brand’s products. The promotion was quite successful as the game was played over 13,000 times!

Promote your brand with a Product Recommender promotion

Featuring or showcasing your products as part of your promotion not only engages your audience but will also serve as visual advertising. You could, in fact, help your audience choose the right gift for mom from within your product line. And we have the perfect app for that: Product Recommender. This app allows you to configure a little questionnaire based on mom’s preferences. Once questions have been answered, the participant will be presented with the present that best suits mom.

Mother's Day Promotion, Product Recommender

That’s exactly what the Spanish car dealer niw.es did in this promotion. Launched a promotion in which users answered some questions regarding mom’s driving habits and then got a recommendation on what kind of car would fit her best. Any users participating in the promotion entered in a final prize draw of a gift card for a famous department store.

Mother's Day Promotion Idea, Pick your Favorite

In this other example, the Cascavelle Shopping Village in Mauritius launched a series of Pick your Favorite promotions organized by the different shops in the mall. In each of the promotions, the organizers asked users which of the products mentioned they thought would be the most voted as a Mother’s Day gift. Users who chose the most voted product by the end of the promotion entered a final prize draw.

Gather User-Generated Content with a Mother’s Day contest

In today’s marketing world, there is no content of greater value than User-Generated content (UGC). Audiences today trust other customers’ opinions and the content shared by them more than professionally produced content. It is perceived as real and relatable, and if used in the right way, it can provide great value to your brand.

Some of the best ways to incentivize your audience to share content with your brand are through contests. Namely: photo, video, or writing contests. Contests motivate users to share content by offering a reward. So pick your prize carefully and ask your audience to share a video with message for Mom or a photo of their celebration.

Mother's Day Video Contest

Whatever format you choose (photo, video, or text), you can set up the promotion to showcase participants’ submissions in a public gallery so that the general public can vote for their favorite. It is up to you as an organizer to decide how winners will be chosen. Either by popular vote, by a jury, or a combination of both.

Want to spice up your photo contest with a little fun? Try out Photo Fun Demo where participants get to play with frames and stickers to personalize their pictures.

So there you go, we hope you find these ideas and resources helpful when creating your Mother’s Day promotion. If you have any question contact our customer support team via live chat. We will be happy to help!

Graduation Party Games to Customize and Play Online https://www.easypromosapp.com/blog/en/graduation-party-games-that-you-can-customize-and-play-online/ Fri, 29 Apr 2022 13:00:00 +0000 https://www.easypromosapp.com/blog/graduation-party-games-that-you-can-customize-and-play-online/ High school, university or college graduation is a big event in any student’s life as they set off on a new exciting journey. Organizing a graduation or promotion party for your class or family member is a fantastic way to celebrate their achievements and together create new memories. Are you wondering how to make it a memorable day? We’ve put together ideas for graduation party games that you can fully customize and play online.

A Match It game with baby pics for graduation party

Are you planning to invite your graduate’s uni friends? Here’s how to entertain and engage all the attendees! Ask the grads for their baby pictures and create a Match It game in which participants must connect the baby shots with the grads’ current pictures. Apart from showing some cute pictures taken years ago, you will also entertain all the friends and family at the party, especially if the baby pictures are funny!

graduation party games online: match it game to connect baby pics with current pictures

We recommend sharing the baby grad face game on a big screen to generate further excitement and engagement. You can create various rounds with different pictures each time and invite different party attendees to solve the game. This is especially a great idea if you’re planning to invite college students.

Customize an online Timed Quiz for your graduation party

Who doesn’t like a bit of a challenge? Especially when there’s a time cap for completing answering each question!

Organizing a Timed Quiz can be a great way to get to know each other better or to simply test the attendees’ knowledge on a certain topic. For example, prior to the party, you could send out invitations with questions that each attending guest should answer. Ask for example, what is your favorite color or who was your least favorite professor? Then, based on the answers you can create an interactive online quiz.

timed quiz for a graduation party that you can fully customize and play online

All the ideas you see here can be shown on a big screen at your prom party, so you can incentivize people to participate using their mobile phones. It’s just this simple: show a screen with a QR code that lead to the promotion’s url website.

Graduation party games: customize a Word Search to engage your party attendees

Graduation parties are fantastic for getting together with your friends and family and together celebrating achievements earned over the years. However, what makes a good party? Apart from delicious food, fancy drinks, and nice music in the background, you might also want to provide some entertainment. And a customizable Word Search game might be the right thing to offer to your party attendees!

word search for a graduation party

Invite everyone to look for words hidden in a grid of letters. Make the game more challenging by adding a time limit and placing words vertically, horizontally, and diagonally. All you have to do is decide on the theme and customize the game with your chosen colors, fonts, and images. Ask participants to look for each other’s names, studied subjects, etc.

Virtual photo booth for your graduation party

Pictures help us preserve happy and important memories and a graduation party is one of those special days we like to remember. But forget about simple selfies for a moment. Here’s a way to make the day even more memorable!

Create a virtual photo booth in which everyone can decorate their selfies with stickers and fun frames. It’s a cheaper option than renting a real photocall and the experience is equally fun!

photofun for graduation party

Test the virtual photo booth to see how fun it is!

Organize a live giveaway for all participants of your graduation party

Thank everyone for joining your graduation party by giving them a chance to win a fun hamper, a university jersey, or a restaurant voucher. But make sure everyone enjoys the giveaway by offering a unique experience.

Organize an Event Giveaway in which your party-goers participate with their mobile phones. All they have to do is scan the QR code that you can share on a big screen. You can even create a series of questions, like the ones in a Timed Quiz, for further engagement.

Vote the Prom Queen and King using a digital app

Electing the Prom’s Queen and King has a special place within Prom Night. Then why still do it using paper ballots in this day and age? With the Easypromos Pick your Favorite app, the election of the Prom’s Queen and King can be done digitally, which makes a lot of sense considering that all the Prom’s attendants are digital natives. Simply upload the candidates to the app and share the link with the class members so they can cast their vote. Take a look at the this DEMO to get a feel of how it works.

Not sure where to start? Create a free Easypromos account and start working on your graduation party games. You won’t be asked for any payment unless you decide to activate the games. Do you have questions? Chat with us

How to Promote Hidden Objects Games Online for Maximum Reach https://www.easypromosapp.com/blog/en/how-to-promote-hidden-objects-games/ Wed, 13 Apr 2022 11:49:00 +0000 https://www.easypromosapp.com/blog/how-to-promote-hidden-objects-games/ Digital marketers put endless hours into creating, developing, and executing campaigns that generate engagement and bring about results. There are different ways to boost brand engagement and completely distinct techniques to maximize lead generation or boost online visibility. Wouldn’t it be ideal to create just one single campaign that’d be capable of achieving all of these goals, and more, at the same time? Today, we’re coming to share a solution that can do just that.

Gamification has become an inevitable part of digital marketing strategies and it’s here to stay, and all that thanks to its catchy gameplaying characteristics. Another reason for gamified promotions being so popular is the fact that they don’t come across as marketing techniques; they don’t come with the outdated hard-sell approach, instead, they offer a challenge that helps the user get their mind off important things for a moment. They also provide entertainment that we all need once in a while. The Hidden Objects game by Easypromos is a great marketing tool that allows you to generate brand awareness and visibility, maximize lead generation, and stay top of mind with customers. However, if you want your gamified promotion to reach as many people as possible, you will need to make sure that you share the game with as many people as possible

Would you like to entertain your audience with a Hidden Objects fame challenge? Before you launch your promotion, take a look at how to promote your game once you activate it!

Promote your Hidden Objects game on Facebook

Is Facebook the most important social media channel for your brand? If so, this is exactly where you should start promoting your Hidden Objects game. Once you publish your game, the platform will generate a unique shareable link. Why not share it with your Facebook followers and fans? That’s exactly how Carrefour Colentina invited their Facebook audience to join their Christmas Hidden Objects game in which users looked for five cookies on a Christmas table.

Promote Hidden Objects games with Facebook posts

Carrefour is a popular supermarket, therefore, its audience is Millennials, Gen-X, and Baby Boomers who are more likely to use Facebook than any other social network. Promoting its Hidden Objects game on Facebook was a very smart move!

Would you like to launch your own game? We have pre-configured Hidden Objects game templates!

facebook ads: example of how to promote hidden objects games online

Here’s an example of how a… brand celebrated its 6th anniversary. They launched a Hidden Objects game in which users looked for objects related to the brand, for example, a bottle of water. The game was promoted with organic Facebook posts, as well as ads. They also used Facebook Stories with a direct link to the promotion for further reach.

Tiritas also opted for Facebook ads to attract more users to its Hidden Objects game.

Promote Hidden Objects games on Twitter

Twitter might not be as visual as Instagram but it’s still the go-to platform whenever you look for news and quick updates. This is why promoting your Hidden Objects game on Twitter is also a great way to generate more visibility for your promotion and attract more participants. Schedule a few different tweets just the way Shop Mixup did!

Hidden Objects game promoted on Twitter

During Olympics 2020, the tech shop organized a Hidden Objects game in which users looked for ten Shop Mixup’s logos hidden in the Olympic Stadium that you can see in the above image.

Hidden Objects games are great for celebrating other popular events, like Christmas or Halloween. All you have to do is design a creative image for your Hidden Objects game and upload it to the app, which then asks you to mark elements that users must identify in the image.

Not sure which network turned out to be the best for promoting your game? Check out the Statistics of your promotion to see where users came from!

Generate interest in your Hidden Objects game on Instagram

Instagram is one of the most visual social media platforms, therefore, promoting your colorful and fun Hidden Objects game on Instagram is a no-brainer! Apart from sharing direct links to the game on Stories, and adding a link to your Link in Bio, make sure you also share a picture showing your game, like in the following example.

Hidden Objects game promoted on Instagram.

By sharing this attention-grabbing picture, the organizers generated immediate interest within their audience, especially among the users that love a bit of a challenge. Users tempted by the chance to try themselves headed straight for the game, which was the ultimate goal of this post!

Do you want to engage more users and convert them into leads? Share some tips! You could, for example, guide users towards certain elements on the image to help them complete the game.

Invite newsletter subscribers to participate in your Hidden Objects game

If your Hidden Objects campaign is more about generating engagement rather than leads, invite your existing newsletter subscribers to participate in your challenge. It’s a great way to reactivate users, as well as reward their loyalty. This is the newsletter Prevención Salud sent to their database of subscribers.

Use banners, popups, and widgets to attract website visitors

Think of the number of visitors your website or e-commerce site gets on a daily basis. And now think of how many of those visitors are anonymous… Wouldn’t it be just great if you could obtain email addresses at least from some of them? There are three ways to do it!

 • Banners: attract the attention of your website visitors from the second they visit your site. The following example might not be of a Hidden Objects game but it shows how banners can help convert anonymous visitors into leads.

 • Popups: Similar to banners, popups are great conversion tools. Choose where you want to place them and promote your Hidden Objects game to all visitors.
 • Widgets: Create a positive user experience by embedding your Hidden Objects game on your website or e-commerce site. It’s a great way to catch users’ attention there and then.

5 Marketing Gamification Examples Accessible to any Brand https://www.easypromosapp.com/blog/en/5-marketing-gamification-examples-accessible-to-any-brand/ Wed, 13 Apr 2022 08:00:00 +0000 https://www.easypromosapp.com/blog/5-marketing-gamification-examples-accessible-to-any-brand/ Presenting an audience with a challenge is one of the best working motivators to engage your online followers. With that in mind, here are some ideas to gamify your marketing campaign. Adding some prizes to the mix will surely catch your audience’s attention and nudge them to interact. Take a look at the following examples and give the idea of implementing gamification to your strategy a thought.

Match three combination game to promote Black Friday

Let’s start with a customized match-three combination game to motivate and entertain your audience on social media and other digital channels. This is certainly a fun game that anybody can play. Take a look at this example that the Shopping mall MN4 launched for Black Friday. It consisted of a Slide & Match game where that presented the playing elements as discounts. Users had to match the discounts to score points. Every user that registered and played entered a final prize draw.

Prize Roulette to reward e-commerce customers

In this day and age, customers are only impressed by brands that market themselves in an innovative and creative way. Interactive marketing certainly ticks that box and a Prize Roulette is a good example. Furthermore, all the elements of our Spin the Wheel app are fully customizable to ensure your brand or products will be always visible to the user. This is a good solution to offer attractive prizes, product discounts, or experiences. Let’s take a look at the promotion that Celtic Titles organized for their St. Patrick’s Day. The brand embedded a Prize Roulette in a prominent place on their website. Website visitors could access the promotion directly, spin the wheel and win a discount. This promotion is not only fun and enticing, but it also serves as a purchase trigger for visitors.

Gamification Marketing with a memory game to promote a product

Launching or promoting a product implies a lot of work and more often than not we are left wondering what’s the best way to go about it. Gamified applications will help you give your brand more visibility and exposure as they are attractive and engaging to your target audience. Gamification in marketing is ideal to complement your product launch action plan since it’s entertaining and attracts user participation. In the following example, the Singaporean restaurant chain Texas Chicken launched an online memory game to promote their products and the top-ranked players would win restaurant vouchers. With this action, the organizers not only promoted their products but also entertained and fostered competitiveness among users.

Marketing Gamification Examples Memory Game

A brand’s anniversary: the perfect reason to work on brand awareness

Competing is an inherent trait of people and it can be used as a motivator to generate user interaction with a brand. Thus, as part of their 40th-anniversary campaign, the French supermarket chain Alcampo launched an online Multi-Game promotion. This successful gamified interactive marketing action allowed users to play several games and compete against other users.

Timed Quiz game to promote your product and brand

Familiarizing your audience with your brand, products, prices, and even staff to build confidence might well be the single greatest marketing challenge. Speaking of challenges, a quiz is probably the first one that comes to mind. Therefore, launching an online timed quiz is a great way to challenge your audience and work towards achieving such an objective. Let’s take a look at what Andrew’s Airport Parking did in Australia.

The brand launched a times quiz with questions related to the company and its products. What’s more, the questions themselves served several purposes: challenging and entertaining its audience, informing clients about available services, prices, upcoming promotions, locations, etc.

Easypromos offers a variety of tools to configure and promote games on social and other digital media to increase your actions’ visibility and bring in users. Use our ready made templates and/or contact our support team via live chat for help and suggestions. We will be happy to help!

Gamification on LinkedIn: Ideas for Compies to Engage Employees https://www.easypromosapp.com/blog/en/gamification-on-linkedin-ideas-for-companies/ Mon, 21 Jun 2021 03:51:00 +0000 https://www.easypromosapp.com/blog/gamification-on-linkedin-ideas-for-companies/ Gamification on LinkedIn and other social media platforms has proven to be a great tool to generate engagement, rivalry, and engagement among employees. Organizations also use gamified solutions to motivates and challenge their workers.

Games also prevent salespeople from seeing goals as an imposition, as gamification aims to create healthy competition and provide employees with tools and knowledge with which they will be able to successfully close sales.

This is how gamification and social networks not only help companies to improve brand recognition and engagement with the client but also with the team. Game-based techniques are very effective when it comes to delivering challenges and experiences.

Therefore, gamification is not only used to sell and find clients on LinkedIn but it can also be applied in different areas of the organization. For instance, through gamification on LinkedIn we can work on Employee Branding) or improve the company’s training processes.

If your goal is to enhance the skills of your commercial team and you need gamification ideas that are cheap and easy to execute, take a look at the following examples.

Gamification on LinkedIn: branded mini-games

Easypromos allows you to easily create games that have the power of boosting engagement on LinkedIn. You can create a promotion and host it on a microsite that your employees or audience would have to visit in order to participate in the promotion. You can also enable the social login through their LinkedIn profile; this option would help you ensure that all the users participating in your promotion are also LinkedIn users.

Promote your campaign by creating publications that explain the dynamics and the URL through different channels: newsletter, a notice board or internal tv channels for employees, corporate social media profiles, etc.

Are you looking for ideas for engaging games? The most effective are those that encourage interactions with users. Word searches, memory games, trivia, and knowledge quizzes work very well in work settings. In addition, you can customize online games with the corporate identity of your brand and with the theme that best suits your objective.

If your promotion aims at a sales team, the quiz may be related to a 100% commercial theme. If you go for a Word Search, you could incorporate terms popular in the realm of sales.

Improve your engagement on LinkedIn with giveaways

If apart from entertaining your employees, you also want to reward them you should opt for a giveaway. Use the same online game that you created to run a random giveaway for all employees registered in the game.

Keep in mind that, like other social networks such as TikTok, LinkedIn does not allow external applications to access its data; therefore, it’s not possible to organize a draw in the comments. Therefore, a great option is to share a link to a promotion organized on a microsite – and use internal channels to promote it.

Internal competitions

Nobody can resist a contest, especially if the prize is good. Of course, we are not talking about accustoming employees to always have a reward, but incorporating them into commercial dynamics in a strategic way does nothing more than favor the spirit of competition of each one of the workers.

In addition, it is a good way to give your employees visibility and make them known internally. One idea is to organize a video contest where your own employees are the ones who create the content. Plan the theme, lay the foundations for the contest, and disseminate it through internal communication channels.

You will be able to show all the videos in a public gallery and activate the vote among all the workers of the company. In parallel, you can launch a mini-campaign on LinkedIn where every day you share videos of the participants encouraging the rest to vote in the contest.

If one of your goals is to get clients on LinkedIn, empathize with your employees, increase motivation and plant new skills in your employees, give a go to these ideas and start working on a gamification strategy. At Easypromos we have giveaway applications, contests, games, questionnaires, and coupons with which you can introduce innovative dynamics that improve productivity and encourage creativity among your workers.

Gamification on TikTok: 3 Ideas to Entertain Your Audience https://www.easypromosapp.com/blog/en/gamification-on-tiktok/ Sun, 20 Jun 2021 23:27:00 +0000 https://www.easypromosapp.com/blog/gamification-on-tiktok/ TikTok is as fun as it is addictive. The new social network that has mainly captivated the young people of Generation Z is one of the fastest-growing social networks in the world: 800 million active users per month around the world make it one of the most popular social platforms, even well above Twitter, LinkedIn, and Pinterest.

What is the secret recipe for such success? The possibility of creating short videos, with music and other functionalities in a very simple way is one of the things that attract the most users. TikTok has not only caused a stir in Europe but also in countries such as Cambodia, Japan, Indonesia, Thailand, and China. The social networking service to share videos has also shaken companies: within the gamification strategies on social networks, TikTok has its own reserved space.

And, for brands on TikTok, there are great opportunities. Firstly, gamification on TikTok; TikTok’s creators worked on offering brands the possibility of interacting with users through much more dynamic and disruptive ads. On the other hand, the educational sector is already beginning to assess how to use social networks to teach some subjects in the classroom.

Gamification on TikTok has a long way to go, but that doesn’t mean you have to wait any longer to start testing the possibilities of the social network. If you need a little inspiration to exploit the potential of gamification, at Easypromos we share some ideas for TikTok.

TikTok for business: how to use it in your marketing strategy

Create valuable content

Tutorials are always a good option. Teach your audience how to use your product in a creative way. Let’s take for example a makeup brand that has launched a new product. A good move would be to prepare a set of short videos sharing makeup tips.

Join challenges and launch yours

Invite your community to join your brand challenge. Do not forget to create a hashtag! This way, you can keep track of the videos that your users have shared.

It is a simple dynamic, but with a lot of potential. The more fun your challenge, the more possibilities of virality it will have. And not only on TikTok but also on other social networks such as Instagram where users tend to share their favorite videos with their followers.

Influencer Marketing

TikTok’s reach for brands is not limited to challenges. Influencer campaigns are other actions you can incorporate to your marketing strategy on TikTok. They help increase engagement and reach a wider audience.

User-Generated Content

Encourage your community to upload content related to your brand and make them true ambassadors. Following the example of a makeup brand, you can encourage your followers to upload their makeup tricks and build loyalty by sending them special gifts from time to time. Convert them into subscribers of your brand!

Gamification ideas on TikTok

If your goal is to sell on TikTok, gain brand awareness or promote engagement, you are in the right place. As a company, you can develop different dynamics to interact with your audience and reach more new users.

Giveaways

If you want to go one step further and reward your community, announce a giveaway on TikTok and drive traffic to your profile on another social network that you want to boost. An example of dynamics could be this: you use TikTok to announce the giveaway and explain step by step all the participation dynamics that would take place on Instagram. The call to action would be to answer in the comments of a post some trivia related to the content you shared in the tutorials on TikTok.

Before considering doing another type of giveaway, you should know that TikTok is a fairly hermetic social network. To date, it doesn’t allow external applications to access data, so it’s not possible to run a comments giveaway and collect the data to randomly select the winner.

Of course, there is no doubt that TikTok is perfect to promote your action and take users to the social network where the giveaway would take place.

Videos contests

They can help you build brand awareness and, more importantly, drive engagement. Without a doubt, TikTok is the best platform to organize a contest in which your users are encouraged to upload a video. The dynamics would be the following: participants upload their video to TikTok, download it to their mobile and, to complete their participation, they go to the landing page of the campaign. Here they upload their video and fill out a registration form.

All the videos are shared in a gallery where other users can vote for their favorite. You can also make a random selection of the winner.

It’s an easy way to drive traffic to your contest landing page. Additionally, you can use TikTok videos to advertise your giveaway, contest, or promotion.

Are you ready to get the most out of your TikTok account? Unleash your creativity and surprise your community. From Easypromos we can help you to launch different dynamics to captivate your audience. Just contact us via our live chat in case of questions or doubts!

Can Gamification Increase Engagement? https://www.easypromosapp.com/blog/en/engagement-gamification/ Fri, 18 Jun 2021 01:25:00 +0000 https://www.easypromosapp.com/blog/engagement-gamification/ Engagement is a very broad concept with which we can refer to the commitment of employees to the company or the level of interaction of a user with a brand on social networks. To increase engagement, human resources managers and marketing managers opt for gamification, a tool that, among other things, helps to improve the image of the brand both internally and externally.

Likewise, gamification allows companies to optimize processes between departments, promote new behaviors, motivate employees to achieve better results, and build both employees’ and clients’ loyalty. If these are also your goals, read on and learn how gamification and marketing can help you increase engagement.

Increase interactions on social networks thanks to gamification

Likes, shares and comments are fine, but, going further and getting our audience to empathize with our values and with our content, will be our guarantee that we will be building lasting relationships based on experiences loaded with dynamism. This is where gamification plays a critical role. By transferring game mechanics to social networks, we will be generating attractive content for users and, at the same time, building loyalty to our community. After all, our followers connect to social networks to entertain themselves and consume valuable content.

Increasing engagement through gamification will not only positively impact social media metrics. In fact, when we increase user engagement with our brand, we will be able to offer new experiences, even outside the online arena.

With a good gamification strategy, we can: gain more visits to our profile, capture leads, increase the number of followers and the scope of our actions, and, as we have said before, build a solid relationship with our clients, which will increase the possibilities of coming back and end up buying our products or paying for our services over and over again. So, do you dare to integrate gamification into your social media strategy? If so, write down these actions and examples of engagement and get to work!

Roulette with prizes

We love them! It’s a good way to attract your current and potential customers and surprise them with discounts, gifts, product tests, etc. They work really well for companies in the retail sector that seek to improve the customer’s shopping experience and ensure they come back to the store.

Games

Imagine that you have launched an app and you need to make sure that your potential customers find out about it. Through dynamics of accumulating points to exchange them for discounts or prizes, you can increase interactions and achieve real sales growth.

On social media, games, contests, and challenges are also very powerful tools that help boost engagement and expose your brand image. Keep in mind that these types of dynamics, in addition to generating entertainment, create healthy competition among participants. The result? A significant increase in engagement and conversions.

Giveaways

Giveaways on social networks are the ones with the highest engagement ratio, mainly those in which the call to action is simple: ask for a comment, tag friends, etc. A simple mechanic that does not require a high effort, will encourage participation of your followers who will even share your giveaway with other users in an organic way.

One of the advantages of giveaways is that, using applications such as Easypromos, you will be able to choose the winners in an automated way and with the guarantee that you are complying with the regulations of each social network. Do you already know what is the prize you are going to give in the next giveaway? Bet on alliances with other brands and launch a collaborative giveaway. They always give good results!

Gamification helps to increase employee engagement

If you thought that when we talked about increasing engagement we were only referring to social networks, we have good news for you: in the organizational sphere, we can also improve the commitment, motivation, and involvement of our employees. And, a happy worker is an employee who will feel pride in belonging to the company, which also makes him an innate ambassador of the organization. Is there better advertising than that?

It has been shown that there is a direct effect between employee engagement and income statement, so if we have a motivated sales team, it will surely be reflected in the fulfillment of sales objectives. On the contrary, job dissatisfaction increases absenteeism and sick leave.

New call-to-action

Therefore, it is essential that you not only focus on increasing the commitment of your external clients, but also the commitment of your internal clients. Develop internal dynamics and take advantage of all the possibilities that gamification offers. At Easypromos, we develop powerful actions so that your employees perceive ordinary work as a challenging opportunity to grow and have fun. Do you need help to start a gamification action? What Are the Different Types of Gamification? https://www.easypromosapp.com/blog/en/gamification-types/ Thu, 17 Jun 2021 04:44:00 +0000 https://www.easypromosapp.com/blog/gamification-types/ Neuroscience has demonstrated that games are a very useful resource when it comes to learning, regardless of whether we are talking about children or adults. Applied correctly, games offer great advantages not only at an academic level but also at a business and personal level.

This technique is known as gamification and it is based on offering a different path to learning from fun moments and challenging experiences that awaken the competitive spirit of the person.

There are several gamification types: educational gamification, business gamification, gamification in social networks, gamification applied to the field of health and wellness… However, its usefulness goes further. Currently, more companies are talking about marketing and gamification as the right way to retain customers, enhance brand awareness and generate interaction in the digital world.

Types of Gamification

Educational gamification

Learn math by playing? Of course! In an educational environment, gamification aims to improve the teaching and learning process through the dynamics of the game. Internalizing content and increasing student participation is possible thanks to educational gamification, which, using reward systems, accumulation of points, rankings, missions and challenges, enhances the motivation of students to learn more and better.

Primary gamification

Within educational gamification, we find gamification in primary education. Without a doubt, it is a great ally when it comes to training students at this stage. And it is that, when knowledge is constantly acquired in a fun way, we achieve that students are predisposed to absorb more knowledge. Perfect so that no student gets bored in class!

Now, you are probably wondering if gamifying is only for educating. The good news, both for teachers and parents, is that games in academic contexts make it possible to change the behaviors of the little ones in the classroom, an issue that also carries over the behavior at home.

Question and answer games, Trivia type mechanics, digital platforms that encourage reading, and apps with multiple-choice questions are just some examples of gamification tools that can be developed in the classroom.

Secondary gamification

Can you imagine that in your natural science classes you would have become a doctor who saved people’s lives with the help of your fellow doctors? What if the ultimate goal would had been to become the director of a virtual hospital? We are sure that your motivation would not have been the same as studying only with a book in your hand.

This is what gamification achieves in secondary education: students who take on challenges and try to overcome them with the guidance of a teacher who understands their concerns and motivations. Without a doubt, the game applied to education in the institute, encourages active learning and gets the student to show interest in those subjects that, a priori, are considered very complex or difficult.

Another benefit on the game in educational environments is that students work in their emotional intelligence and learn how to work as a team.

Business gamification

How many times during your professional life have you had to attend endless and not very dynamic trainings? Surely many! Companies have it increasingly clear: business gamification increases the competitive spirit of employees, strengthens their commitment to the organization, improves productivity, encourages creativity and helps workers develop specific skills.

It is about applying dynamics and mechanics derived from the game in a work context. A clear example is in commercial teams, where gamification plays a fundamental role when it comes to pursuing sales objectives through motivated, trained and well-rewarded employees.

Other sector in which we can apply gamification

As we have seen, gamification has multiple applications. Commonly, both education and business sectors are the ones that most take advantage of the benefits of applying these techniques in their environments, but there are many more possibilities. In the field of health and wellness, gamification techniques are already beginning to be implemented to help instill in citizens good habits for the prevention of certain diseases.

In the social matters, it is also possible to apply the game technique. NGO’s dedicated to protecting the environment have used gamification dynamics to transmit love for the earth and teach individuals, from a 100% collaborative approach, to recycle and respect the planet.

Are you ready to join the gamification revolution? Boost your creativity, achieve your goals and have fun while achieving better results. Whatever your sector is, you will always have the opportunity to adapt gamification techniques to your needs.

How to Increase Facebook Engagement with Gamification https://www.easypromosapp.com/blog/en/gamification-on-facebook/ Tue, 15 Jun 2021 03:18:00 +0000 https://www.easypromosapp.com/blog/gamification-on-facebook/ Facebook allows brands to create online communities where staying in touch with your followers and fans is much closer, simpler, and more interactive. However, it is not enough to start an editorial calendar and publish daily. Nothing could be further from reality! Using Facebook gamification is a good way to promote interaction and, therefore, engagement – but only if you know your audience really well.

There are many examples of successful gamification in social networks, and the more entertaining our digital initiatives are, the easier it will be to get our followers interested in us and feel the need to participate, either because they perceive value in our content or because the dynamics and the prize are attractive enough to encourage interaction.

If you wonder how to sell on Facebook or how to increase Facebook engagement, don’t leave out a good gamification strategy. Playful dynamics have proven to be successful when it comes to offering unique experiences and increasing community engagement with brands. Contests, giveaways, and games should be go-to strategies! Are you ready to put a funnier spin on your fan page? Take note of this 5 simple, but very powerful ideas.

Live broadcasts

If you are looking for ideas for Facebook that allow you to increase interactions, this is one of them. It is a simple and inexpensive option, whether if you do it on your own or using an external app such as Easypromos. It provides better control on leads, metrics, and winner selection. In addition, it is a way to ensure that you are complying with all the regulations and social network specifications.

A good way to exploit gamification is through Facebook Live. Think of a food brand that wants to promote a particular product; an option to increase interaction and engagement with the community would be to hold a nutrition workshop. Make a giveaway and raffle a prize among the attendees who answer questions related to the content shared during the workshop.

Harness the power of GIFs

They are increasingly used by brands to create content with a casual and spontaneous touch. If you dare to add a playful element, it will be easier to get Facebook interactions. Launch a giveaway among all the people that can capture a certain image or the exact moment where your product appears.

Increase video views

This must be the biggest challenge for brands with a Facebook presence! A good way to improve view metrics and get the user to see the content to the end is to make it part of the story. Challenge the user to decipher a riddle, find a specific item, or discover a phrase. If we add a prize or a discount to the dynamics, the gamification action will have a greater impact.

Online surveys and questionnaires to increase Facebook engagement

They are effective, easy to launch and have a high capacity for virality. One of their greatest advantages is that they allow us to collect data and help us to better understand the interests and motivations of our audience.

Here is a simple example: imagine that you are developing a new product and want to build it considering the recommendations of your potential customers. Firstly, you could launch surveys and ask users to recommend, for example, what functionalities your products should have, what color they should be, or what should be the star ingredient of your restaurant’s new menu.

How can you reward participation and achieve greater Facebook engagement? Offering a discount to purchase the product once it is launched or inviting your brand’s fans to an exclusive event where they can see firsthand the product before everyone else.

Games and prizes

Roulette with prizes, interactive puzzles, word search, personality quizzes… Gamification through games helps to get enough exposure to get into customer’s minds and generate curiosity about our brand. These ideas for Facebook are not just good alternatives to entertain and reward your followers, but also a way to collect contact information.

Once you have chosen the gamification action that suits you best, don’t forget about the communication actions. For this, you have several options such as:

 • Use new formats like Facebook stories to share your giveaway or game.
 • Invest in social ads so that more people find out about your initiative.
 • Send a newsletter to your database.
 • Post the action as a pin on your wall.
 • Take advantage of cross-communication on other social networks where you are present.
 • Work on a hashtag strategy. Users who like to participate in contests and giveaways are constantly looking for tags related to these topics.

How to Increase Sales Through Gamification https://www.easypromosapp.com/blog/en/how-to-increase-sales-through-gamification/ Fri, 11 Jun 2021 05:52:00 +0000 https://www.easypromosapp.com/blog/how-to-increase-sales-through-gamification/ How can we increase sales through gamification?

Let’s not kid ourselves: an unmotivated sales team is unlikely to meet its objectives at the end of the month. Engagement and motivation are essential to improve our employees’ performance; consequently, sales and gamification in a commercial environment make a lot of sense.

If our goal is to boost sales, it’s a known fact that sales are directly related to our employees’ commitment, we ought to use groundbreaking, innovative methods, and technologies that will ignite our team’s competitiveness.

In that regard, gamification techniques such as quizzes and scoring programs can help us achieve better results.

Improving sales through gamification

Training our sales force in the traditional way does not always yield the expected results and, instead, represents a significant investment for the company. However, we obviously can’t avoid training our employees! It’s key to find alternative ways to boost our sales team’s performance, which can be achieved through gamification. This technique is already widely used to achieve gamification objectives in marketing and it’s also beginning to be much more common in companies seeking to increase their profits radically.

In fact, several studies demonstrate its effectiveness. A report by Gartner, a world leader in consulting services, indicates that 40% of Fortune 100 companies rely on gamification to raise employees’ sense of competition and their desire to be better professionally.

Strategies to increase sales through gamification

Before you begin pondering how to improve sales through gamification, you should start by understanding what really motivates your sales team. These motivations may be both internal and external. Intrinsic motivations are those that drive your employees’ desire for self-improvement, such as progress, competitiveness, or praise from their peers, whereas extrinsic motivations occur when we motivate an employee to act through a rewarding system, that is, to obtain a reward.

Are they both important? Absolutely! Could you imagine what would happen if we only focused on motivating our workers financially, without taking into account other kinds of ambitions they have? We will probably fail in our attempt.

We must remember that in order to promote real behavioral changes that will last over time, we have to go one step further: we ought to have a clear objective, design procedures and carry out a communication strategy that is powerful enough to convey our goals with the gamification strategy to all of those involved.

There is no doubt that gamification works. It provides employees, especially in sales, with data on their daily progress, allowing them to have control over what they do and make better decisions. Would you like to discover other advantages of applying gamification techniques within sales departments? Don’t stop reading!

Advantages of gamification in sales

 • Continuous training is key to having a trained sales team that is up to date with the latest trends. Dare to come up with something really innovative that, besides surprising your employees, will lead you to achieve your goal: you will train your sales force to sell more.
 • Your sales team will understand business dynamics much better, they will strive to achieve their sales goals. Thanks to the tools offered by gamification, business objectives are much clearer and more visible to everyone involved.
 • Gamification creates a dynamic of constant feedback that directly influences your employees’ motivation.
 • To those in charge of the sales department, team management becomes simpler and more transparent.

Three gamification tactics you can put into action

 1. Games foster people’s competitive spirit and teamwork. Create several teams of vendors and challenge them to win a competition against each other! Virtual games are also very effective in promoting better practices in your company.
 2. If training your vendors has become a nightmare, we suggest you think about online learning schools. A portal full of interactive elements so that your employees won’t try to escape from training ever again. Missions, rankings, virtual rewards… Your vendors’ growth doesn’t have to be tedious or monotonous.
 3. Feedbacks are essential to vendors. Instead of working exclusively with complex and unfriendly reports, how about developing a virtual dashboard for each employee? This would allow employees to access their individual and group progress.

When it comes to increasing sales, gamification offers plenty of diverse possibilities, almost infinite. Gamification strategies are available for more than your sales team, they are very effective on the customers themselves. Gamification allows us to increase conversion rates, attract new clients, achieve customer loyalty and collect data. Do you dare to try it?

The game helped the hotel promote its services and gather leads at the same time.

To promote the city of Sao Pablo, the travel agency TravelUp launched a game application that encouraged users to create their ideal pizza. Promoting luxury vacation homes with an online Hidden Objects game

Showing your product increases people’s desire to acquire it, therefore, your goal should be to show it off as much as possible. To this end, a vacation rental company created an online Hidden Objects game to show off a room in one of their rental houses. As the promotion was carried out during Easter, the company posted an image containing hidden golden eggs and challenged participants to find the eggs in order to be entered into the prize draw. The prize was a significant discount on the rental of their houses.

Ideas to Implement Gamification on Instagram https://www.easypromosapp.com/blog/en/ideas-instagram-gamification/ Mon, 10 May 2021 00:08:00 +0000 https://www.easypromosapp.com/blog/ideas-instagram-gamification/ A digital marketing specialist is constantly looking for new ways and formulas to increase engagement with their target audience. Among many, gamification was born naturally: if users go on social media for entertainment and fun, what’s wrong with offering our content in a game format that answers the user’s needs?

We’ve discussed gamification previously, its meaning, and how it has become an essential strategy in digital marketing. It has entered our consumption routines with such force that it has turned out to be a trend widely used to attain customer loyalty, increase sales, or position the brand in the market. How? Simple: it’s about using playful mechanisms in contexts where gameplay is not common or expected.

game applications

Social media is heavily impacted by this trend, of course, especially Instagram. It’s very likely that you’ve participated on a giveaway by tagging your best friends, perhaps answered an influencer’s quiz or you’ve even played “finish this puzzle” to reveal a product’s final look. All of these gamification actions seek active participation from the user, they improve our image and bring positive attention to our brand.

Sell your products on Instagram through games

Gamification on Instagram is evolving daily before our eyes. The potential of Instagram stories and the tools that the application has developed to take advantage of them have taken gamification strategies to another level. It’s a common practice amongst influencers or famous personalities; they use their stories as means to ask questions to their followers and encourage their participation.

However, the platform is taking us even further by including possibilities for personalized filters, playing bingo or riddles. Although we may not be aware of it, all these actions put at the service of a brand, allow us to monetize Instagram in ways that were not possible just a couple of years ago. So how do we sell more through Instagram? And, above all, how do we make it sustainable?

How to increase engagement on Instagram: here are some examples of effective gamification

Increasing sales on Instagram or through Instagram is a goal that requires work. An effective strategy is one that is able to take advantage of all the tools that the app develops. A clear example is the potential of stories, a fleeting format, with way more options to create an authentic voice and have a direct relationship with your audience than your average posts on your feed. Its potential extends to the possibility of using storytelling as a creative strategy, since it allows the development of a voice, an editorial line and a tone to communicate with the audience.

Gamification usually appears as an answer to the question of how to increase engagement on Instagram, while building a loyal community and translate it into sales. Why? Because attractive content attracts customers. Certainly, the actions that make up the final strategy will also depend on the type of account to manage (personal, professional, corporate, cultural, influencer), our objectives and resources.

Here are some examples of how to implement gamification techniques, within a marketing strategy for Instagram.

Contests, giveaways, prizes and surprises!

This is probably the most used and repeated trend on Instagram, as it amuses, entertains, and motivates followers to take part in it. Contests allow you to increase your audience, reward their loyalty, promote your work, or ally with commercial partners to promote a product or service.

Though Instagram is not a social network designed for giveaways, its algorithm does allow several activities that boost engagement. Our personal recommendation from Easypromos is the one that encourages leaving a comment or tagging friends. The reason is simple: it increases visibility and engagement, as Instagram ranks better those posts with higher interactions.

To select a winner, you may use our Instagram giveaway tool, which allows you to filter the participants’ list, control those who meet the requirements, and successfully end the giveaway.

Challenges

Challenges are one of the most successful gamification strategies, both for commercial and altruistic purposes. Its implementation is simple: propose an activity with a certain degree of difficulty and invite your followers to upload their own publication using a previously defined hashtag. Some of the most famous challenges have involved choreography or dancing, but the activities can be extremely diverse, it all depends on the brand being promoted.

Riddles

Starting a riddle game via Instagram can harvest very good results, especially if they entitle some kind of reward (e.g. for the first 10 people who answer correctly). In order to carry out this strategy, the easiest way is to upload a post posing a riddle and encourage users to leave the correct answer in the comments. Using the comment section of the post allows you to improve visibility and engagement. Don’t forget to unveil the correct answer and publicly announce the winners.

An external game

Another interesting opportunity to apply gamification for the benefit of a brand is to create a game on an external platform and broadcast it through a URL. This will expand the possibilities of our gamification strategy and aims to convert followers into participants.

Whether it’s building your brand or just throwing a little sparkle on the latest selfie, games on Instagram are customizable and fun; seizing every resource the app has to offer in order to obtain commercial benefits will make a difference. Remember: if you’re having a good time, chances are your followers are having fun as well!

How to build a social media quiz https://www.easypromosapp.com/blog/en/quizzes-on-social-media/ Mon, 03 May 2021 02:36:00 +0000 https://www.easypromosapp.com/blog/quizzes-on-social-media/ social media quiz can help provide entertainment for different followers, while also educating customers and collecting data from your target audience. With Easypromos you can create and share a quiz in just a few minutes. Do you want to know more? Keep on reading! ]]> If you’re tired of scheduling the same social media posts and want to try something different, you’ve come to the right place. We propose you to create different social media quizzes to surprise your users with fun and educational content.

There are many different ways to run a social media quiz, but some of them are more effective than others. In this post, we are going to share the secrets to creating quizzes that engage your audience in the right direction.

Types of social media quizzes you can put online

There are a lot of quizzes on the market. You have probably participated in some of them, but now we are going to list the ones you can create with Easypromos:

 • Quiz with Timer: it tests your audience with a selection of questions that they must correct against the clock if they want to be first in the ranking.
 • Knowledge Quiz: it creates a quiz with correct and incorrect answers and generates personalized messages based on the score obtained by the contestants.
 • Pick your Favorite: it allows your contestants to choose their favorite option among different alternatives on the same screen. At the end, it will show a graph with the results.
 • Face Off: it shows two options and allows the user to choose their favorite. With each choice, a new one appears until you choose your final option.
 • Like or Not: it displays up to 15 proposals for contestants to swipe right to choose their favorites or left to discard.
 • Survey app: it asks your customers or target audience for their opinion with a survey in which they value your brand or products.
 • Product Recommender: It suggests the most suitable products to your future customers with a set of questions to find out their tastes and preferences.
 • Personality Quiz: it designs a closed-ended questionnaire to identify your audience’s tastes and preferences. When your audience is done, it displays a final message customized based on their answers.
 • Predictions: it asks your target audience to guess the outcome about future matches, sports or cultural events.

Find out more about the Easypromos quiz apps on our website.

In addition, you can also create a social media quiz directly on some social networks, such as Instagram, Linkedin or X, but they usually have very limited options and do not allow you to save the contact details or answers of the people involved.

Now that you have seen social media options are limited, we recommend a different strategy: design your own social media app quiz. Instead of using native social media tools, you can create your own quizzes with all the texts, images, and level of customization you want. Then, you can use social media to share these quizzes with your entire audience.

Let’s take a look at it step by step…

How to make a social media quiz in a proper way

The quickest and easiest way to create an online quiz is to use an app that already has the structure and programming of the quizzes created. This means that you don’t need to have programming skills, just choose a few colors, add images, and write the questions and answers you want.

Simple, isn’t it?

With Easypromos you can create any social media quiz you prefer from preset models. All you have to do is sign up for free and start setting up everything you need.

Here are some extra tips to consider when setting up your quiz:

 • Keep it short: the most popular quizzes have between three and six questions. If they are shorter, people feel cheated, and if they are longer, the user will have the perception that they must put too much effort into it.
 • Be realistic: adjust questions and answers to the target audience they are addressing. For example, if you’re designing a back-to-school quiz, don’t include Christmas-related questions.
 • Use some multimedia: add photos, videos, music and GIFs to make quizzes more appealing and interactive.
 • Stay up to date: to attract the attention of Internet users, link the quizzes with current events and take a huge advantage of the context in which you live. You can also take advantage of the special dates.
 • Design for mobile use: most people check social media on their smartphones, so they’ll also see your quizzes on mobile devices. All Easypromos apps are fully compatible with mobile browsers and formats.
 • Offer an incentive: Encourage public participation with discounts, gifts, coupons, or contests. If the reward is related to the theme of the quiz, much better.
 • You have to include a registration form that collects contact information and other basic data from contestants, including the chance to accept email marketing.

Examples of quizzes on social media

Sustainability Quiz with Timer

Test your audience’s knowledge while you gain in engagement at the same time. To give a touch of fun and originality to your quiz, create it with the Quiz with Timer app to set up the questions with a limited response time.

To give you a proper example, we see how Ecosport created this dynamic with questions related to sustainability and recycling to educate users. They were giving a prize among all the participants.

Quiz with visual elements

The +Vision optician launched a fun quiz so that users could test their visual skills. Each question was a game or riddle, and all the contestants had to answer with the correct choice.

They set up the promotion with a ranking system to add competitiveness and excitement to the action. Sunglasses and a merchandising kit were given among the five participants with the highest score. On the other hand, they gave a discount to all those registered.

Pick your favorite place

A very fashionable social media quiz is the one that allows you to present several alternatives on the same screen around a topic. Of course, users have to choose their favorite option. After the vote, a graphic with the general results of the vote is displayed.

With the Pick your favorite dynamic, you will be able to boost interaction with your brand with a quick and dynamic vote. In the example you see a quiz that a digital newspaper made about the most interesting places of a city.

Knowledge quiz about sport events

Looking for a way to strengthen its sponsorship, Joma Sport launched a knowledge quiz related to the Davis Cup. Through different questions, the social media quiz evaluated the public’s knowledge of this competition, in exchange for receiving a discount code to buy in the official store.

With Easypromos, the brand was able to customize the quiz with its corporate image and set different types of questions and answers.

A survey to improve customer service

Just like the cosmetics brand Banbu did, they created an online survey to get to know their customers better and find out what they expected from them. In this case, they asked users what content they found most interesting and what they wanted to receive through their newsletter. They rewarded participation in the survey with a direct prize.

How to share your quiz on social media?

If you have used the Easypromos platform to create the quiz, you will get a unique link to share and expand your brand. Share this link on Facebook, Instagram, X, Pinterest, TikTok or any other site or channel where you have followers.

However, it’s not enough to share the link once. You need to create expectations and get the widest resonance. Here are some simple and quick ways to increase the reach of your social media quiz:

 • Create some expectations before the release of the quiz with some hints or some random screenshots. In fact, you can even share the first question of the social media quiz and then encourage your audience to jump in on the rest of the questions.
 • Share hints on your social networks: Follow up in real-time to see which questions are the most challenging for your audience.
 • To motivate your followers, show them rewards, such as gifts or exclusive prizes.
 • Congratulate your followers when they share the results of the quiz with you. It’s a great opportunity to collect user-generated content and make the most of audience engagement.
 • Set a countdown that makes reference to the start and end time of the quiz. It will create a sense of urgency for more people to answer the questions.
 • Announce the winners with a sense of style: If you end up giving a prize or have a leaderboard with the results of the best contestants, make sure to announce the winners on all your social networks.

Once the entire campaign is over, you can use the contact information to follow up on the leads and enhance the relationship with email marketing actions. You can use quiz answers to understand what your followers are interested in or develop a new product based on feedback or responses.

How to launch an interactive online Easter Egg Hunt https://www.easypromosapp.com/blog/en/digital-easter-egg-hunt/ Fri, 12 Mar 2021 10:18:29 +0000 https://www.easypromosapp.com/blog/online-easter-egg-hunt/ The time to get your Easter promo is here and depending on where you’re from, your Easter egg hunt experiences will be different. If you’re from North America it’s most likely you’ve frolicked through backyards in search of decorated or chocolate eggs. However, if you’re from Europe – like us – your Easter egg hunt was probably limited to watching American movies played during the holiday season. But times have changed and so has technology. And Paschal egg hunts can now be held all over the world, no matter the culture or the country you live in! Today we show you how easy it is to launch an online Easter egg hunt promotion to entertain and engage your audience, even at times when the weather or other circumstances prevent you from holding outdoor Easter egg hunts.

Create an online Easter egg hunt to engage your audience

It’s no news that at Easypromos we love digital and interactive promotions, and that gamification is one of our favorite aspects of digital marketing. Also, it’s common knowledge that interactive content is more attention-grabbing than static content. Therefore implementing branded mini-games into your Easter campaign is a smart move.

Over the last few years, we had been noticing that our customers were looking for ways to launch an online Easter egg hunt, and they successfully ran some campaigns with hidden eggs and bunnies on their websites. However, we decided to come up with a new, more interactive way to do it.

Easter Promo

While looking for a way to create an online Easter egg hunt we realized that our Hidden Objects app is perfect to create one. The app allows brands to accomplish their marketing objectives while entertaining and engaging online communities. The Hidden Objects game by Easypromos enables organizers to upload personalized images to the platform and select areas that need to be marked by players.

Start by configuring the registration form for your online Easter Egg Hunt

Configure the registration form so that you can collect the user information that you are interested in. Choosing the information fields to include in the registration form depends on the marketing objectives that you wish to achieve. Are you looking to nurture your email database for future email marketing campaigns? Or is it market segmentation information you’re looking for? Or is it simply that you want to entertain your audience? Having clear answers to these questions will help you configure the right registration form for your promotion.

In the example above, you can see three examples of the registration forms of three different real-life promotions. Each brand included the information that best suited their campaign needs.

Custumize your online egg hunt with your brand image or products.

Next step is to configure the online Easter egg hunt itself. The Easypromos Hidden objects app is fully customizable. You can edit and change all the texts and images, and customize the game to fully match your branding. Adjust the colors and images to convey your brand image for increased brand awareness and exposure. You can upload your edited image to the platform and manually select the correct areas that users will look for.

If the idea of designing and uploading an image is not your cup of tea, or if you’re pressed with time, worry not. Try our Easter Egg Hunt DEMO and viola!

The importance of prizes for your online Easter Egg Hunt

Motivate your followers to join your digital Easter egg hunt by offering a chance to win. The prize must be attractive enough to encourage your community to invest some time into your promotion. The users will be also asked to leave their contact details in order to join the prize draw so you will also collect new leads for your future marketing campaigns. This is when the importance of the prize is even more significant; users will not share their contact details if the prize is irrelevant to their interests or likes.

Therefore, if you’re a bakery, offer Easter cakes, if you’re a jewelry shop give your audience a chance to win a bracelet or earrings. Remember, it’s important that one of your products is the main prize, as it will reinforce product awareness. However, if you think your products or services are irrelevant as prizes of Easter promotions then collaborate with another brand! Both of you will reach a wider audience and therefore increase brand awareness.

Allow single or multiple participation in your online Easter egg hunt

Depending on your marketing objectives you can decide whether you go for a pre- or after-participation registration.

 • Pre-participation registration: choose this option if you’re looking to reinforce customer loyalty and build brand trust. You will be able to allow multiple participation, and there should be multiple prizes involved in the promotion.
 • Registration after participation: go for this setting if your main goal is lead collection. Users will register only once and there will be just one big prize associated with your Easter egg hunt.
 • Anonymous participation: if your only goal is to entertain and engage your audience you can fully disable the registration form and allow users to participate anonymously.

online Easter Egg hunt registration form

One thing to have in mind is that you shouldn’t be asking for too much information from your participants. If you ask for too much they will be discouraged to fill in the registration form.

Once you finalize your promotion you can draw the winners! Give the prize to the fastest participant, or do a random draw between the 10 fastest players. You can also distribute discount codes to all registered users.

Still unclear on which option will work better for you? Here’s a blog post explaining all the pros and cons of user login options.

Distribute prizes with an alternative solution to online Easter hunts

At Easypromos we strive for excellence and this is why we came up with another way to run egg hunts. The following example is not a game but it’s still an interactive dynamic that allows brands to distribute multiple prizes online.

Easter Reveal & Win demo

Have you ever watched a TV show with winning vaults? Or maybe you’ve seen promotions where users look for chests full of gold? Well, this is exactly the same dynamic but customized for Easter! The Reveal & Win app allows organizers to create interactive promotions in which users click on different elements to see if there is a hidden prize. Our Easter example comes with bunnies and eggs. Users click on the eggs to find a decorated Easter egg. You can distribute prizes by probabilities or winning moments. But there’s nothing stopping you from running a final prize draw for all registered users!

Create your own online Easter egg hunt

Ready to create your own Paschal egg hunt online? You can create your free Easypromos account and start working on your promotion. The system won’t ask for any payment unless you decide to activate the campaign. Before you start, take a look at some of our favorite examples from our clients!

How to Make Online Events Engaging with Gamification, Prizes and Promotions https://www.easypromosapp.com/blog/en/online-events-gamification-promotions-prizes/ Thu, 14 Jan 2021 13:03:58 +0000 https://www.easypromosapp.com/blog/online-events-gamification-promotions-prizes/ These days, we are constantly being bombarded with invitations to digital events and online information seminars. So how do you encourage people to attend yours? And how to make online events interactive and engaging?

Beyond engagement and entertainment, events are also sales and transaction generators. Large-scale expos and conferences are always a great place to gather leads. In a day, you can easily meet 20 people, get their business cards, and share a bit about your brand with them. But how does this work in a digital event? How would an exhibitor attract people to a virtual booth? What’s the digital equivalent of conference swag?

These are all challenges that online engagements face in today’s accelerating digital world. Depending on the type of event, there are a variety of applications and actions that can create engagement, gather content, and set up a communication channel for post-event engagement. Using games and interactive promotions showcases your event in a fun light and allows attendees to see energy and action around your event.

Here is a list of tips to engage in online events throughout the event timeline: pre-event, during events, and post-event.

Pre-Event Engagement

Before the event, you need to catch the attention of your target audience where they are. So use your social media to create visibility, send out a newsletter to your database, publish it on your website. And apart from that, use promotional actions to create a little more excitement around the event. Here are some of the ways to do this:

Social media giveaways

Social media sweepstakes based on interactions on posts can be used by the event organizer, speakers, sponsors, and exhibitors to create more visibility and engagement. Ask users to comment to enter. You can take the chance to ask why they want to attend your online event. You might get some useful insights this way. Raffle event gear or maybe even tickets, or access to a special VIP event treat if you have that. You can also run a last-minute giveaway to remind the audience about the event.

Why use them: They are easy for organizers to manage and users to join and help get exposure and create engagement with the potential event attendees.

This is what Lido Marina Village did in their Instagram comments giveaway in collaboration with Alchemy Works Harbor House, a store in their shopping village, and Apolis bag brand. Users had to comment on what they would have embroidered on a bag and the winner could pick up the prize at the event.

Entry Form Giveaways

Use an entry form for the sign-up process for the event. You can ask for all the data you need in the registration form, so this can even help you understand the participants’ demographics. If you want, you can use them to raffle tickets or event gear at the same time.

Why use it? With Entry Form Giveaways you can collect leads and build your email database for further communication about your event, company, offers, and promotions. Be sure to do it complying with data protection legislation. With Easypromos it’s very easy to be GDPR compliant.

Sound Advice did just that by raffling audience tickets to the SABA 2020 Book Awards. As a special treat, they also gave a 50% discount on Backstage tickets to everybody that entered the prize draw.

Voting apps

Let the audience of your digital event vote for the project, video, or employee of the year. This can be especially useful for award ceremonies that will be held online this year. The online voting will also help to disseminate the digital event and create expectations about who the winner will be. Voters will look forward to attending the event to find out who won.

Why use them? Online voting before an event makes users feel important for the brand, as part of the process and the event. This can help improve customer relationships plus the audience feels heard.

A great example of this is the Charity Impact Awards that celebrate the work of charities, community groups, and voluntary organizations in Ireland. The winners of the awards were to be revealed at a virtual awards ceremony in December.

During the event

Engage and entertain

How to engage the attendees at a digital event is probably a question that most event organizers ask themselves. We all know how easy it is to get distracted when on the computer. So how about not only engaging but also entertaining your guests? Give the visitors something fun to remember from your event. And if there are prizes to be won, even better.

Live Giveaway

Run a quick Live Event Giveaway of a maximum of five minutes to keep attendees alert and engaged during the event. They access through a URL or a QR code to enter. This means they can participate on their phone and don’t have to leave the screen where they’re attending the online event. You can add quiz- or survey-type questions to the draw. If you use quiz questions, only the users who respond correctly to all questions enter the final draw. This way you can test if the attendees have been paying attention during the seminar. The presenter will then conduct the lucky draw live when the time is up.

Why use it: The live Event Giveaway creates a lot of energy and excitement during the event. It is a very dynamic way for the organizers to give away sponsored prizes and thereby promote the event sponsors.

This video was taken at an offline event but imagine everybody sitting at home eyes fixed on the screen to participate within the time limit and then to see if they won.

Online prize wheel

Add some fun to your event by letting attendees Spin the Wheel to see if they win a prize. This helps promote and distribute prizes from, for example, the sponsors of the event. Using this in an exhibitor booth can help attract attendees. It can be shared in the chat of a digital workshop or webinar, or embedded on the event website. You can give small prizes such as discounts to everybody who spins the wheel and also give a few bigger prizes. You can let them spin several times during the event so they keep coming back for more chances of winning.

Why use it: A prize wheel is a great tool for customer retention and will for sure help increase brand awareness and impact

Network visibility & analytics company Gigamon is sponsoring many tech and IT virtual events this year and in each one, they offer attendees to spin the wheel to win exciting prizes. The prizes include some of their own tech products, merchandising, gift cards, and other timely gifts such as hand sanitizer.

Entertain and engage with branded mini-games

Another way of entertaining the attendees is to let them relax between seminars with a game. Yes, we said “game”! Puzzle, Memory, Match It, Word Search, Hidden Objects, Minesweeper. You can customize the games completely to match your company’s corporate image and the event. It will help you retain the attendees in the event, as the highest number of users leave live events between sessions. Giving them something to do is a great way to keep them engaged, especially if it’s something entertaining. Unlike a live, physical event, many virtual event attendees don’t come back after going for a coffee.

Why use it: Combine games and prizes for the breaks. Just like at offline events, games with prizes will show sponsor products and maintain the audience engaged. This will give the attendees a better overall experience at the event.

This is an example of a Memory game. It can be completely customized to fit the event, both design and content.

Feedback surveys

Getting feedback is very important as you can learn and improve, especially if it’s the first time the event is held online. It doesn’t have to be a rating of each event speaker. It can be used to ask for feedback on any aspect of the event.

Use a Multi-Stage Survey to ask the attendees for feedback about the event. In one promotion, you can create a survey for each seminar/exhibitor. The attendees only have to register once to then respond to multiple surveys as they attend different seminars during the day. There are different ways of rewarding the attendees for giving you their feedback. One of them is a random draw with participation requirements, for example, a minimum of two completed surveys to enter the lucky draw. You would have the same URL during the entire event which makes sharing easier. You can also send a survey to the attendees after the event, your choice.

Why use it: Asking the attendees their opinion makes them feel heard and included, and the feedback you receive can help you make the next event even better and it can give you information for better targeted future campaigns.

In this example, there is a survey for each keynote speaker at the event, and the attendees that answer at least two surveys, enter the prize draw for different prizes.

Try our Multi-Stage Survey DEMO and discover how easy it is to collect feedback for different speakers, webinars and presentations. And if you like it, you can download our pre-configured and fully customizable template to launch your own online event satisfaction survey.

Check-in and rewards

You may also need a way to keep track of the participation in the different seminars or booths. There are ways to automate this.

While you keep track of the participation, you can also reward the attendees just for showing up. This will encourage them to attend as many seminars or booths as possible. With a Multiple Check-In promotion you can ensure the participants are people who are actually present in the event. At the end of their seminar, the speakers can share a code that users have to enter in the Check-In promotion. You can give additional entries in the prize draws per check-in so the more the users participate, the more chances they have of winning. The prize can also be a direct prize from the seminar speaker or brand as a reward for the check-in.

Why use it: Rewarding attendance will help increase participation, attract more attendees, and energize the event.

You can also create one promotion with all in one: seminar feedback, games, and surveys, like in this example.

Collect user-generated content from your event

At online events, it can be hard to make the attendees feel part of the event since everyone is sitting at home or at the office, on their own, in front of their computer. But there are different ways of making your guests feel important. Invite them to share some content about themselves and the event.

Social media photo contest

Use a Mention + Hashtag contest, for example, as a “Show us where you’re attending from”. Users participate by uploading pictures to their Instagram or Twitter profile using the event hashtag and mentioning the organizing brand. Be sure to create a catchy hashtag and keep your profile updated. You can show the gallery of the attendees’ photos on your website. This way, the audience will visit your website again and might even share it with their colleagues, friends, and family.

Why use it: The Mention + Hashtag mechanic will give you a lot of exposure and visibility on social media. This will indirectly help you increase trust in your brand. The attendees’ followers can tap your brand mention and go directly to your profile so you’ll probably get more followers out of it. You can also post the submitted photos in your Stories and boost engagement further.

hashtag gallery event

Virtual event photo booth

Another way of generating UGC is a photo contest where the attendees can add a frame and stickers from the brand to their photos. Event organizers can create a virtual photo booth and place it in the lobby or waiting area of a virtual event. Encourage people to participate for prizes or just for the chance of having their picture shown in the event’s picture gallery. This way, you gather user-generated content you can use post-event to showcase the turnout and elements of the event.

Why use it: User-generated content is very valuable for brands as it makes the users brand advocates and boosts trust in the brand. It also makes the attendees feel part of the event. Use the UGC at the event by showing the gallery, on your social media, and for promoting next year’s edition of the event.

This is an example of a themed virtual photo booth where users add a frame and stickers as if they were in a real photo booth. You can add the frames and stickers you want. You can, for example, add the company or event name to the frames.

Post-event prizes and follow up

When your digital event is over, attendees exit the site, and then what’s next? You can keep communicating and engaging with them also after the event, and you can use different mechanics to keep them interested and engaged so they will remember your event, service or product, and come back next year.

Random draws from a list of attendees

Run a lucky draw to raffle prizes among the attendees for example if you have presents from the sponsors of the event to distribute among the attendees. You can prepare everything beforehand and run the giveaways live or before the event. You would have the winner videos or the winners’ page ready where you can display the prize, the sponsor’s name, and the winners.

Why use it: Who doesn’t love to win a prize just for showing up? Announce the prize draw beforehand and please the sponsors at the same time. Remember to share on social media, the event website, etc.

Follow-up surveys

You can also send out a survey after the event if you don’t want to use it during the online event. Remember to make it easy to respond and engaging and maybe offer prizes to the attendees that send your their valuable feedback.

As you can see, there are many different options for energizing online events, and it depends on your event type, the audience, and your objectives. However, it’s pretty sure that there’s a promotion, game, or survey that will work for you.

Please don’t hesitate to contact us if you are organizing an event and want it to stand out for its creativity, engagement, and high numbers of participants. It’s all within your reach!
