The incentive behind a campaign is the motivation that drives users to participate. Therefore, the prize is an essential element of the marketing campaign, and poor prize and winners management can ruin the campaign. In this article, we will go over the different available options for choosing prize winners in digital campaigns, how to effectively manage the prize inventory, and how to securely deliver prizes to the winners to prevent fraud.

]]> An effective prize management system might well be the single element that makes or breaks a promotional action. Most users participate in contests and giveaways motivated by the prize being offered, according to a study by Easypromos that surveyed over 1,700 people. Specifically, 48% stated that the prize is the most important factor, and for 45% of them, it is the main decision-making factor.

At Easypromos, we have managed over 50,000 digital promotions, all of which included a prize. The mechanics of these promotions are always designed to award a prize to the winner. However, there can be various scenarios: having a single high-value prize, having multiple prizes of different values, having infinite digital format prizes, combining physical and digital prizes, and more. The prize inventory of a campaign can determine the participation mechanics and is determined by the type of prize and the number of units of each prize type. For example:

 • You have 100 movie premiere tickets, how to give them away? (Flash idea: Instant Win)
 • You have 100 tickets for a music festival with 5 different artists. How do you give them away? (Flash idea: the first 100 user to register get the tickets)
 • You want to give away a car, which is a very high-value prize and you want to guarantee a high participation level. Which is the best option? (Flash idea: a final prize draw always does the trick)
 • You can give away a luscious trip as well as merchandising. Can these options be combined? (Flash idea: Use the excitement of a Scratch&Win)
 • You have five 80% discount codes and unlimited 10% discount codes. What are my options? (Flash idea: How about a prize wheel?)
 • You want to reward your most loyal clients with a treat. How do I make sure that the promotion is not abused? (Flash idea: Digital coupons with redemption control)

Want to know more about these options? Keep on reading!

How can prizes be distributed?

There are basically five ways to distribute prizes in digital promotions:

 1. By random draw
 2. Direct participation
 3. Instant Win
 4. By odds / probability
 5. By manual assignment

These options are not mutually exclusive but can be combined, and that’s where the power lies if you have an inventory of multiple types and quantities of prizes. Keep on reading to learn more about it.

Prize management system: random draw

It is the most common way of distributing the prize. Everyone who participates in the promotion becomes a finalist in the final draw. Easypromos has a random draw tool that allows segmenting participants according to given criteria (if necessary) and selecting the number of winners and alternates. Keep in mind that the audience sees more chances of winning when there are several units of the prize to be distributed, so it is advisable to allocate more than one prize in the draw.

Prize management system, Final Prize Draw

There are several types of sweepstakes that you can organize, but all the dynamics use the notary-certified random winner selection system developed by Easypromos. Besides being able to automatically produce the number of winners and substitutes you have set, the brand ensures the reliability and transparency of the process.

Prize management system: by direct participation

If you aim to maximize conversion, give away instant prizes upon participation. Users know they will receive a guaranteed prize upon registering, so if the prize is attractive, they will participate without hesitation. Offer discounts or units of your products as prizes, making sure you obtain the contact information of your target audience. The most common dynamic for this type of promotion is distributing digital coupons to redeem in physical or online stores. In the following example, the furniture store Moradillo gives away online discount coupons to celebrate its anniversary. Users registered, obtained the coupon, and redeemed it at the time of purchase. The store’s attendants validated the coupon using Easypromos’ prize redemption tool.

In this kind of promotion, the number of prizes available is usually high and can consist of a single or different kinds of prizes (discounts, gifts, rewards).

You can also create special conditions for prize allocation. For example, giving a specific discount based on what a user has answered in the registration form, or giving surprise coupons to a specific number of participants.

Prize management system: Instant Win

Another option to lure users into participating and trying their luck to see if they win a prize. In the “Instant Win” dynamic, participants register, and if they happen to do it matching a predetermined winning moment, they will receive a prize. Otherwise, they can try their luck again (if the organizer configures it that way). This type of promotion usually involves a high number of prizes to be distributed randomly throughout the duration of the campaign.

Prize distribution system: Instant Win

In the example above, the Puerto Venecia shopping center in Spain, distributed prizes online through an Instant Win promotion to celebrate Valentine’s Day. By doing so, they drew foot traffic visits to the shops as all the prizes had a near expiration date to be redeemed.

It is also common to organize one-day-long promotions. These include hourly Instant Win moments and participants can try their luck every hour. This kind of campaign involves extensive planning beforehand, but it then unfolds almost automatically. Its objective is to achieve high visibility on that specific day.

Prize management system: by odds / probability

When you have many prizes to distribute, and you want them to be given out randomly, you can distribute them based on probability. The best example of this type of dynamic is a Prize Wheel, where you can configure several prize or no-prize slots, and establish the odds for each type of reward. In this case, it is important to understand how probabilities work and to seek advice from the support team to achieve a smooth distribution of prizes without running out of them too quickly. You can also create special conditions for prize allocation. For example, giving a specific discount based on what a user has answered in the registration form, or giving surprise coupons to a specific number of participants.

There are also other possible dynamics such as the digital ‘Scratch & Win’ and the Reveal & Win’ that fit this prize distribution well. What’s more, it can be combined with the ‘Instant Win’ distribution; if there is a higher-value prize, you can control when it will be given out by programming it as an instant win instead of basing it on odds.

Prize management system: Manual assignment

In Some kinds of promotions, such as contests, you may need to manually assign prizes to one or more participants. For example, when a jury decides who the contest winner is and you need to communicate the result properly to close the campaign. Or in the case of games, when the winner is the top-ranking participant. Having the option of manually assigning the prize is important, as it allows you to display the promotion’s outcome on the winners’ page, making the dynamic transparent.

Many of these prize distribution strategies can be combined in a single promotion. For example, a game can award the main prize to the top-ranked player while also distributing discount coupons to everyone who completes a certain level or achieves a specific score.

How does a prize management system work?

In promotions that plan to give away a certain number of prizes, it is important to be able to control how they are distributed to make sure that the promotion doesn’t run out of prizes too soon. The distribution by odds and Instant Win dynamics are very helpful in this case.

At Easypromos we are well aware that effective management of the prize inventory is crucial for generating a positive experience for participants and ensuring the success of the promotion. That’s why the prize system allows you to choose how to distribute them, shows you how many prizes are still available, and provides statistics on how they have been distributed. In the case of complex prize distribution dynamics, such as in the Prize Wheel, the prize inventory is essential and is prioritized within the editor. Take a look at the following example: the editor allows you to clearly and directly define the percentage with which you want to distribute this inventory.

Prize Inventory Management Prize Wheel

How are prizes displayed?

Prizes distributed through an online promotion can be very varied. Common kinds of prizes include vouchers or digital coupons such as discounts, free delivery, rewards, or free products.

When it comes to distributing coupons, they can be either unique and campaign-specific codes, such as BLACKFRIDAY23, or personalized coupons. Easypromos supports both ways of distributing these vouchers. For the option of distributing personalized codes, the “code set” tool allows uploading a large volume of codes to the platform before starting the campaign, which are then randomly distributed. Additionally, although these codes are preloaded in alphanumeric format, they can also be encoded into QR codes or barcode format when distributed to participants. The supported formats include QR codes, EAN-13 barcodes, CODE 128 barcodes, and CODE 39 barcodes.

How to manage prizes of different values

In many cases, the brand will have several kinds of prizes. It is also common to have one high-value prize and several others of lower value. Since multiple ways of distributing prizes can be combined in the same promotion, this will help you manage them more efficiently.

 • Have a better control of when the high-value prize is given away using the Instant Win of Random Draw dynamics.
 • Distribute the rest of the prizes randomly, by direct participation, or by odds.

The Easypromos’ prize prize redemption tool offers many other advanced features. For example, it ensures that only one prize is awarded per participant at a time, ensuring better prize distribution. You can also set it so that a participant cannot participate again if they have already been awarded a prize.

How to communicate and contact the winners?

Another crucial aspect of prize management is announcing the winners and contacting them to award the prize. All Easypromos promotions have a “Winners Page,” which is a specific URL where the winners can be listed. Additionally, in the case of draws, the “Claim your prize” tool is also available, which allows winners to claim their prize, confirm their identity, and provide their contact information to the brand for efficient prize delivery management.

The Winners Page is commonly used in promotions using a final prize draw or Instant Win. In the case of other dynamics such as instant prizes, the prize is displayed on the final page of the promotion.

Prize management system: Winner Page

Furthermore, the organizer can send an automated email to winners to confirm the prize and provide them with the next steps to receive it. Learn more about the email platform that allows you to communicate directly with all registered participants of the promotion, automatically, and segmented by prizes or criteria.

How to redeem prizes securely?

Easypromos is ready to be used as your validation and prize redemption tool. Some brands already have a promotional code verification system, so the platform will help them to distribute prizes randomly among users. However, many other brands need not only a reliable platform for prize distribution, but also a quick and efficient way to validate them.

The Easypromos prize redemption tool allows for the validation of prizes distributed online in physical stores. The process is straightforward for the sellers: the customer shows the final screen of the promotion displaying the prize, to confirm that the prize is valid and has not been used, the seller provides the user a code to be introduced in their mobile device, automatically confirming that the prize is valid. The seller will then hand the indicated prize over to the user.

To ensure a prompt prize redemption at brick-and-mortar shops and to help draw foot traffic, a countdown timer can be added to the promotional coupon displayed on the screen. This creates a sense of urgency for customers to visit the establishment to claim their prize.

In conclusion, the prizes offered in online promotions are crucial for the success of the campaign. Therefore, you must carefully plan how you will distribute them among participants. Additionally, make sure to include this information in key campaign elements such as the Terms & Conditions. If you would like to distribute prizes in an online promotion but have doubts, contact our team and we will help you come up with the most suitable option according to your brand’s resources and objectives.

User ID and login systems for online promotions https://www.easypromosapp.com/blog/en/user-id-and-login-systems-for-online-promotions/ Thu, 13 Apr 2023 06:35:00 +0000 https://www.easypromosapp.com/blog/?p=80286

Identification via participants’ email

We recommend configuring the system with a two-step verification process. This means users will have to access their email to validate the email address used to register. This becomes especially relevant when the objective is to gather new high-quality leads for email marketing actions.

The first time users register, the system will present them with a registration form to enter their personal information and accept the terms and conditions, and privacy policy, and grant their consent to receive commercial emails from the organizing brand. This registry form is 100% customizable and the organizers can include as many fields as they wish.

If the promotion allows for several participations, e.g, a game with daily participation, users can access only with their login credentials with no need to register again.

With Easypromos, the login process does not require a password. This is to avoid forcing the user to remember and introduce a password for what is an occasional activity. Identity verification is carried out through a validation email sent to the user’s email address. If users participate from a device where they have an active session, they won’t have to log in again to participate as the system will recognize them as registered users.

Login systems, email identification

Social login identification

Another very common way to identify and register users in a promotion is the social login. This allows users to identify themselves to participate in the promotion by using their social media credentials. With Easypromos, you can offer participants the possibility to identify themselves using their Facebook, Google, TikTok, Linkedin, or Twitch accounts. The promotion editor allows you to easily activate or deactivate these login options.

Social login can improve the user experience, increase conversion rate, improve security, and provide valuable data for marketing and loyalty-building campaigns. This option is particularly interesting if you wish to run a promotion exclusively on one social network and aim to gather user data of a specific network. For instance, if your objective is to gather contact details of Linkedin users, you can set the Linkedin login as the only available option.

In contrast, social login can also present some disadvantages. Such as depending on third parties, data security, and privacy concerns from some users, as well as the possibility that the users’ information on the social network might be obsolete. For example, gathering email accounts from Facebook might mean that some users do not use that account anymore, making it impossible to contact them.

Identification with mobile phone number and sms validation

Yet another way to facilitate the identification of users who wish to participate in the promotion or giveaway is to activate mobile phone authentication and sms validation. Most online promotion participants access them through their phones. Hence, this identification mode helps conversion.

Its main advantage is that it facilitates the identification process for those who don’t usually use their email. It might be more beneficial to ask target audiences with certain habits and digital competencies to register with their mobile phone number and validate their entry with the sms they receive.

Your marketing strategy can be another reason to prioritize mobile phone number identification. As common as it is to nurture marketing databases with participants’ emails, you can also opt for an sms marketing campaign. In such a case, asking for and validating participants’ mobile phone numbers will provide you with a phone number database that can be used to build a marketing list for SMS, Whatsapp Business, or any other mobile phone-based channel.

The mobile phone login option has an additional cost as it requires sending and SMS for each identification.

SMS identification is an authentication process that uses mobile phones as a means of verification. The steps of this process are:

 • Users enter their mobile phone number in the field allocated for it on the promotion’s screen.
 • Users access the registration form to fill out the rest of the fields and accept the terms and conditions and privacy policy.
 • The platform then sends users an SMS with a validation code to the phone number they entered.
 • Users enter the code they received to verify their identity and move forward in the participation flow. If the code is not valid. Users cannot register or participate.

Login systems, mobile phone number

Accessing a promotion with an identification code

For promotions that are exclusive to employees with a personal ID or other kinds of audiences to whom you wish to grant exclusive access to a promotion, the identification via code can be activated. This option works for specific cases in which participants have an individual access code and you don’t need any additional information from them. Nor are they required to confirm their entry through other channels such as social login, email, or phone.

This identification field allows validating users with several methods: personal identification codes or numbers (e.g, employee number, social security number, etc.), a set of codes previously uploaded to the platform, or by the Luhn algorithm.

Own user registration system

Using the brand’s user registration system

All of the Easypromos promotions can be integrated into any user identification system that companies might already have in place. Such as CIAMs, loyalty programs, SSO – Single Sign On implementation, etc. Thus allowing the organizers to use games, contests, or giveaways to attract new users and/or engage users that are already included in the brand’s database.

A user registration system is a tool to verify the identity of users before granting them access to a system or online service. When a user registration system is integrated with Easypromos, the first identification step will be carried out within the brand’s system. Thus avoiding a duplicated validation step and providing a better, more fluid, and integrated user experience.

Unequivocal user identification might not always be necessary for a promotion and so, Easypromos provides several user registration and identification options: registration before participation, registration after participation to claim a prize, or participation without registration (anonymous mode). Which option is best will depend on your marketing objectives.

If you have any questions or doubts, contact our customer support team via live chat, we will be happy to help you choose the best option.

With mobile registration and sms validation, users no longer need to worry about remembering email passwords or social media accounts. They simply need to enter their mobile phone number and confirm their identity through an SMS. This simplification of the registration process facilitates participation for people of all ages, even those who do not use email. Thus, expanding your promotions’ reach and increasing the chances of success.

Build a solid database for mobile marketing

Mobile registration with SMS validation not only provides a more user-friendly experience for your users, but also allows you to build a valuable database for your mobile marketing campaigns. In addition to collecting participants’ phone numbers, you can obtain their legal consent to maintain direct and personalized communication with them through text messages or push notifications. Seize this opportunity to improve the effectiveness of your promotional strategies and customer retention.

Notice that the registry form allows you to display the privacy policy and add checkboxes for users’ consent. You can also specify how their information (mobile phone number) will be used as well as the disclaimer in other checkboxes.

Make sure users are real and avoid fake accounts with SMS validation

Mobile registration with SMS validation also ensures that users participating in your promotions are real, making it difficult to create fake or duplicate accounts. By requiring verification through a text message sent to the user’s mobile phone, it ensures that each participant is unique and authentic. This benefit is particularly relevant for organizing companies, as it allows them to obtain more reliable results in their promotions and prevent result manipulation by malicious users.

Mobile authentication has gained popularity in recent years due to its convenience and security. According to a Statista report, it is estimated that in 2021, 89% of the global population owned a mobile phone, highlighting the importance of adapting to mobile technologies (Statista, 2021). Moreover, a Mordor Intelligence report projects that the global mobile authentication market will grow at a compound annual rate of 18.53% between 2021 and 2026 (Mordor Intelligence, 2021).

The mobile phone login option has an additional cost as it requires sending and SMS for each identification.

#DigitalWomenLikeYou – Seven relatable stories to honor women in the digital marketing world https://www.easypromosapp.com/blog/en/digitalwomenlikeyou-seven-relatable-stories-to-honor-women-in-the-digital-marketing-world/ Mon, 27 Feb 2023 08:31:35 +0000 https://www.easypromosapp.com/blog/digitalwomenlikeyou-seven-relatable-stories-to-honor-women-in-the-digital-marketing-world/

Do you have a daily routine or do you get up and play it by ear? Routine, routine and routine. I’m a very organized person overall. Knowing what’s coming next helps me optimize my time and organize myself better. That doesn’t mean there’s a time in my day to “play it by ear”. I think those moments are very necessary to have a moment with oneself to, well… do whatever.

Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, TikTok… Which one is your favorite to develop a relationship with the brand’s audience? All of them, and none. Let me elaborate: each audience has its needs, every brand its strategy, and every moment its trends. Suffice it to say that my first social media strategy done with Axioma&Co. was done as we went, exclusively on Facebook and with promotions in tabs with our own code. And that’s not to say we were doing it wrong, we were simply adapting to the circumstance. Which we continue to do to this day. I believe the key is being able to anticipate and see the opportunities that every network gives us to be proactive with the brand, and be the first ones to act on them, and do it right. That takes vision, creativity, and being up-to-date.

And at a personal level, which one is your favorite? At a personal level, Instagram hands down. I see it as a hybrid that can take you through many states depending on what you’re feeling like (I’ll mention some women-managed accounts here):

Which three words would you use to describe women working in the digital and new technology fields? Essential, powerful, and team player.

Do you think that as of today there is still an opportunity gap between genders and a glass ceiling for women? Yes. Or course. There are, of course, nuances: You might be lucky enough to work for a company for equal opportunities for men and women, and with as much work-life balance as the law will allow. However, this is but a patch. Unfortunately, society and the system still oppress us in many ways and that widens the gap even more. And that’s not just my opinion, this research paper by Factorial puts it crystal clear. It’s a pity we’re still at this point, isn’t it?

How do you motivate yourself? What do you do to relax? To get motivated: sport, movement, and music. To relax: meditation, nothing mystical. I use https://www.headspace.com

If your life were a movie, what would be the title? I like the question, and since this is all about the digital world, I’ll relay the question to Chat GPT and let’s see what it comes up with 🙂 I asked: give me the title for a movie about the life of a woman who works full-time in digital marketing, has two kids (one of them still unborn), has a personal project on the side, and has to juggle with life to find time for herself. Better yet, I’ve asked that along with this description, it tells me the name of five existing movies. And volià!

 • “Julie & Julia” (2009): The movie shows the life of Julie Powell, a government employee who decides to cook all of the 524 recipes in Child’s cookbook within a year and write a blog about her experiences. The film alternates between the two women’s lives and careers, showcasing the challenges they face and their triumphs. It explores their relationships with their husbands, their love for cooking, and their pursuit of their passions.
 • “I Don’t Know How She Does It” (2011): In this comedy, Kate Reddy is a mother of two working in finance. She also has a big work project and struggles to keep balance while she deals with a series of unexpected events.
 • “The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo” based on the Millenium books by Stieg Larsson. This movie follows Lisbeth Salander as she investigates a series of crimes. The film also portrays the personal struggles of Lisbeth with her traumatic past and her relation with her guardian.
 • “Away we go” (2009): In this dramatic comedy an expecting couple travel across the country looking for a place to settle and raise their child. It portrays the struggles of a young couple with a baby on the way.
 • “Tully” (2018): The movie tells the story of Marlo, an exhausted mother of a newborn baby and two other children. She hires a babysitter called Tully to help her deal with her workload and find more time for herself and her interests.

Certainly, if Chat GPT were a person, it would be a very obnoxious one, always right and saying the last word!

Given that you work in the digital world…Have you ever Googled yourself? Yes! But nothing relevant comes up, or people who are not me. Ironically, being a professional working in the digital world, I value anonymity and I am very jealous of my privacy. I don’t share my life on social media, I use a different name for my Instagram account and I don’t share anything but food-related content. I’m in fact, more like a voyeur. 😎

Who are some women that have inspired you along your career? I could make a list of inspiring historical women, there are many of them. This reminds me of a book series, aimed at children but read by adults, that goes over a good deal of them: “Bedtime stories for rebel girls”. Truth be told, the women who have had the biggest impact in my life and inspired me along my career, are those whom I have been lucky to have met personally. And who have helped me reflect and improve. And the list goes from an elementary school teacher, my boss at my very first summer job, and friends and acquaintances that may not be part of my life anymore. I have to mention the women in my family of course. They all have the same in common: independent, brave, inspiring, smart, decisive, and chilled. Thank you all!❤ How will you celebrate the 8 of March 2023? Most likely cuddling my soon-to-be-born daughter. Hopefully she’ll be building a better world than the one we have today.

Do you have a daily/morning routine or do you simply wake up and play it by ear? I’m a night owl so I find waking up early tricky! I love weekends when I can catch up on sleep (in theory as I still tend to wake up early)

Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, TikTok… which one is your choice to work on the brand/audience relation? Kettlewell has a Facebook group which is extremely loyal and popular and very influential – as is our Instagram page.

And personally, which one is your favorite social network? Instagram followed by Pinterest (I have over 342,000 followers on Pinterest!)

Which three words would you use to describe women working in the digital and new technology fields? Rare but increasing!

Do you think there is still a salary gap and glass ceiling for women nowadays? I haven’t found it so.

How do you get motivated? What do you do to relax? I draw and paint Islamic Geometry, very therapeutic and relaxing

If your life were a movie, what would the title be? Everything, Everywhere, All at Once

Given that you work in the digital world, have you ever googled yourself? Yes, I had a couple of blogs for several years so they appear in search results but I also found a Canadian author with the same name so that was quite amusing.

Which women have been an inspiration throughout your career? Anyone who juggles a family and full time work successfully has my admiration. Melissa Nicholson founded Kettlewell whilst bringing up three children. (It did help that she had a very supportive and involved husband).

How will you celebrate the 8 of March this year? At work at Kettlewell where we will no doubt be doing something colorful! Last year we celebrated with group photos of our colorful team at Kettlewell (attached) to celebrate how much we enjoy working together.

Día Internacional de la Mujer en Kettlewell

Do you have a daily/morning routine or do you simply wake up and play it by ear? I usually adapt to my day’s schedule. I do have a different routine for the weekends. Unlike on weekdays, I try to get up and do other things instead of looking at my phone.

Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, TikTok… Which one is your favorite to develop a relationship with the brand’s audience? It depends entirely on the target audience. Instagram still has a lot of potential as it is where brands mostly interact and build a relationship with their audiences. That’s why I wouldn’t give it up for TikTok. However, it’s no surprise that TikTok has become one of the best channels to get visibility and reach new audiences in record times, something we weren’t used to. I believe in keeping things under control and diversifying communication channels, always considering the possibilities that each of them offers, as well as in creating native content in native languages. I must say, however, that the line that divides each channel is blurring, and we will be increasingly surprised by disruptive integration strategies.

And personally, which one is your favorite social network? Undoubtedly TikTok, I can’t believe the time I spend on that social network and how much I enjoy discovering new communication techniques both for content creators and brands, as well as the never-ending actions to keep up with the trends.

Which three words would you use to describe women working in the digital and new technology fields? Empowerment, knowledge, and equality.

Do you think there is still a salary gap and glass ceiling for women nowadays? Unfortunately, will never overcome the prejudice and stigma that have affected women for a long time. Despite many of us making daily efforts to deconstruct them, and we are progressively achieving equality in the job market, there will always be situations and sectors where women will never have the same opportunities. There are still many glass ceilings to be shattered.

How do you get motivated? What do you do to relax? Motivation is not hard to find if you love what you do for a living, it comes on its own. I believe sometimes my problem is learning to stop a delegate. FOMO (Fear Of Missing Out) often kept me from relaxing. Nowadays however, with a little help or aromatherapy and quiet, I can relax and enjoy reading a good book or watching a series.

If your life were a movie, what would the title be? There are too many movies that I can relate to my life, it would be difficult to pick one.

Given that you work in the digital world, have you ever googled yourself? I must confess I have, but the result was nothing special. My Linkedin profile came up first, followed by the rest of my social media profiles. I guess I am pretty well positioned, right?

Which women have been an inspiration throughout your career? I follow Zaria Parvaez, Duolingo’s Global Social Media Manager. I believe that everybody knows her viral videos on TiTok. Their brand’s strategy is one of the best these days on that network. I’d also mention all the women in my family as a source of inspiration, as well as all those women that are referents for society and that continue to prove how difficult it is to be a woman in this world and who continue to fight for our rights.

How will you celebrate the 8 of March this year? I believe it is not a day to celebrate as there is still a long way ahead of us. I think it’s a day to reflect and it’s important to bear in mind that we still need to work for our rights.

Do you have a daily/morning routine or do you simply wake up and play it by ear? I try to have a daily routine. Crossing items off the to-do list makes me feel more productive, but I don’t shy away from improvising.

Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, TikTok… Which one is your favorite to develop a relationship with the brand’s audience? It depends on the brand, its audience, and the objective of the action.

And personally, which one is your favorite social network? I try to keep it under control, but on Instagram I get lost in space-time.

Which three words would you use to describe women working in the digital and new technology fields? Necessary.

Do you think there is still a salary gap and glass ceiling for women nowadays? Even with all that we’ve achieved in the last years, it is undeniable that it still exists in almost all fields. We also lack referents in executive positions that serve as role models and help girls to achieve their dreams.

How do you get motivated? What do you do to relax? Same for both: a sunny terrace. Movies, Twitter threads, boxing, they all work too, but it’s not the same.

Given that you work in the digital world, have you ever googled yourself? Of course I have, and way before I started working in the digital world.

Which women have been an inspiration throughout your career? I’ve come across many inspiring women throughout my life and career. My friends, former bosses, workmates, the ones I follow on Spotify, the ones in the pictures on my shelves… But truth be told, the first one who comes to mind with every challenge is my mother.

How will you celebrate the 8 of March this year? At the demonstration, hand in hand with the rest of us.

Do you have a daily/morning routine or do you simply wake up and play it by ear? I do have a very clear routine! I make sure to always make the bed, even if I am half asleep; it is like my first big win of the day. A cup of black coffee follows whilst I listen to the news brief; I need to know what is going on in the world before facing it.

Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, TikTok… Which one is your favorite to develop a relationship with the brand’s audience? In my years as Social Media Manager, I felt the most creative on Instagram. The fact that it started out as a platform for curated feeds gave me the freedom to experiment with filters, colors, and composition. I also love a good caption and playing around with hashtags to generate a good conversation.

And personally, which one is your favorite social network? That has to be Twitter. Compared to the rest of the Meta-owned platforms, Twitter is the place where I can be 100% myself and where I can find like-minded people to follow. I love that I can get real-time updates on most topics and that is such a great environment for people to express their thoughts in a limited number of characters.

Which three words would you use to describe women working in the digital and new technology fields? Innovative, Trendy, Creative

Do you think there is still a salary gap and glass ceiling for women nowadays? Despite the progress towards gender equality in the workplace, a lot must be done on the disparity between the earnings of men and women. According to the World Economic Forum, the global average gender gap is 16%, with women on average earning only 84 cents for every dollar earned by men. Women worldwide are also impacted by issues like the infamous ‘pink tax’ and other kinds of taxes, such as the ones on feminine products. The glass ceiling, on the other hand, is another issue that companies must take seriously. Women remain significantly underrepresented in leadership positions, with women of colour facing even greater barriers to advancement.

How do you get motivated? What do you do to relax? Music keeps me motivated and relaxed; it is such a powerful and low-cost tool that can affect a person in the most positive way. I have curated my own playlists depending on my mood or the task I am trying to tackle. I can only advise you to use the power of music in your favor.

If your life were a movie, what would the title be? The girl that could not stand still.

Given that you work in the digital world, have you ever googled yourself? I did! And not so long ago for the first time. It was a very interesting experience.

Which women have been an inspiration throughout your career? Since I was a kid, Marie Curie has been my biggest inspiration. I have a picture of her in my living room, she was such a force. Bozoma Saint John is another great example of women in leadership positions that are setting a precedent and paving the road for girls and women of color in the industry. Last but not least, my former trainees Deborah and Linna. I cannot thank them enough for all the reverse mentorship and for being an example of how young women can change corporations for the better.

How will you celebrate the 8 of March this year? More than celebrating it, I believe it is time to commemorate it and remember why this day exists. I plan to reach out to the women in my life that I love and admire and continue working on making a difference for future generations.

Do you have a daily/morning routine or do you simply wake up and play it by ear? Every morning, I start it with a cup of tea in bed that my husband brings. Then I start getting ready for my day and having breakfast while I listen to a radio show that comments on the news with a pinch of irony, I like to start the day in a good mood. Once I arrive to the office, there’s a morning coffee ritual that brings all the Promosfera team together for a chat before starting with our work.

Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, TikTok… Which one is your favorite to develop a relationship with the brand’s audience? Linkedin without a doubt. My agency caters to companies. Being a B2B, Linkedin is the most appropriate channel to communicate with my audience.

And personally, which one is your favorite social network? I love YouTube. It offers such a wealth of content, videos and podcasts on so many interesting topics. I am a social media user, but I don’t love to showcase myself.

Which three words would you use to describe women working in the digital and new technology fields? Determinant, creative, innovative. I think that the women who played a major role in the digital world and social media development were able to tap into the opportunities that this world had to offer and created innovative business formulas and dynamics very admirably.

Do you think there is still a salary gap and glass ceiling for women nowadays? It depends. It is true that there are still sexist companies and that there are often companies almost completely staffed by women, but with only men at the top management positions. However, we are seeing women in top positions increasingly often. The change is visible, especially in young and dynamic companies. In Promosfera, our staff is mostly made up of highly capable, prepared women who have been able to grow professionally while also being mothers.

How do you get motivated? What do you do to relax? My secret is to never stop dreaming: if I see myself starting to lose motivation, I launch myself into a new project. Having new horizons gives me energy and strength. When I want to relax, I try to switch off my mind by watching a light-hearted series, preferably a comedy.

If your life were a movie, what would the title be? There is a story from the early 20th century called “From the Apenines to the Andes” and several movies and TV series have been based on it. It is about the Italian diaspora to South America. I was born in Venezuela and moved to Italy very young, leaving friends and family behind. So yeah, that’d be the title for my movie. It was obviously har at the beginning but it brought about a valuable learning experience.

Given that you work in the digital world, have you ever googled yourself? I have to say I hadn’t. But your question sparked curiosity and I did. Obviously my named was connected to Promosfera and to a magazine with which I usually collaborate. I also discovered that there are other women in the world with the same name. I found an osteopath that lives in the same region that my father is from, who knows, we might be related. Another one is an aeronautical engineer living in California. It was a bit shocking to see my name associated with other faces.

Which women have been an inspiration throughout your career? As a woman and entrepreneur I deeply admire Madame Barbe-Nicole Ponsardin, aka Veuve Clicquot. I consider her to be the true mother of feminism. As she was capable of creating a true empire that defied a hyper sexist world and workplace in which, as in the maritime world, women were considered to bring about bad luck. She widowed when she was only 27 and not only took over her late husband’s winery, but turned into one of the best-known brands in the world, even today. She turned out to be a sharp businesswoman and visionary marketer, coming up with marketing strategies that wouldn’t be recognized and applied for over a century. Her strength and courage should be an inspiration for women with big goals. Such as Helena Rubenstein, founder of modern cosmetology, and Samantha Cristoforetti, who was the first female astronaut to become the commander of the International Space Station.

How will you celebrate the 8 of March this year? I haven’t decided yet, but I’m considering organizing a walk with all the team in the forests that we have only a short distance from our office, and later reward the effort with a nice lunch with the Promosfera team.

Do you have a daily/morning routine or do you simply wake up and play it by ear? It does vary depending on my schedule and what I may have had on the night before, but most days I wake up pretty early, and if I am working from the home office and don’t have any morning meetings, I start work straight away and don’t have a shower etc until later. This works great for me as I find I am really fresh and alert in the morning, and I can get a lot done while it is lovely and quiet before the family is awake.

When there is something due to show a client these few hours before office hours in Australia begin can be a really valuable opportunity for me to complete something that I perhaps wasn’t able to get to the day before. I also have international clients and suppliers, so starting early can also be a great opportunity to catch up with others in their time zones.

Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, TikTok… Which one is your favorite to develop a relationship with the brand’s audience? Personally, as I started my business way before social media was in existence, most of my clients come to me through word of mouth recommendations. I get so busy that I must confess I really don’t update my social media much at all as I don’t need it to get work and find new clients. However, it would be great to have more of a presence on socials, so in 2023 I would like to spend a bit more time in this area, and the two platforms I will probably focus on are LinkedIn and Instagram.

And personally, which one is your favorite social network? Web design is one of my main services and I love to add Instagram feeds to websites so I would have to say Instagram.

Which three words would you use to describe women working in the digital and new technolo Entrepreneurial, Creative, Ever-changing gy fields?

Do you think there is still a salary gap and glass ceiling for women nowadays? I have always been freelance so I can’t really speak personally for experiencing this in the workplace or not, but I really hope not! There is no reason at all that women should be treated any differently to men!

How do you get motivated? What do you do to relax? Music really motivates me. I very rarely don’t have music on when I am designing. People sometimes think this might be distracting but I find it really focuses me and as I feel entertained I am happier to be working when there is music. It also helps if there is noise around me I can pop the AirPods on and tune the world out. To relax I love spending time with family and friends. I do work a lot which is OK as I love what I do but this means that I don’t always get as much down time as others, so something as simple as being able to chill at home and watch TV is actually a treat for and not boring.

If your life were a movie, what would the title be? Freedom with a hint of Chaos!

Given that you work in the digital world, have you ever googled yourself? I have but not often.. as I am a bit slack on socials, not a lot comes up!

Which women have been an inspiration throughout your career? I feel very blessed to have so many amazing women clients. With most of my work being word of mouth it means that women have referred me to other women, so this has led to a niche where I have lots of really incredible women as clients. They all inspire me and I love collaborating with them. I am so grateful for my family. My partner Ben and I have two beautiful kids Jack (17) and Maddi (15) and we have wonderful parents. My mum and my daughter are incredible and inspire me every day.

How will you celebrate the 8 of March this year? I haven’t planned anything yet but I think this is a perfect reason to have a girls lunch with some of my friends / clients!

5 Interactive and Promotional Marketing trends for 2023 https://www.easypromosapp.com/blog/en/interactive-and-promotional-marketing-trends-for-2023/ Tue, 10 Jan 2023 08:03:00 +0000 https://www.easypromosapp.com/blog/interactive-and-promotional-marketing-trends-for-2023/
Digital and promotional marketing trends for 2023

This is the summary of the 5 interactive and promotional marketing trends that Easypromos is forecasting for 2023:

Branded entertainment or how a brand creates entertainment

Gamified actions offering fun and prizes will be a new way for brands to connect with their audience. Creating gamified actions is much easier nowadays than before, and every single brand is able to do it. There is also a change in strategy: instead of the traditional promotional impact, brands seek to create an emotional link with their audience.

Building own databases

Despite Google’s efforts to push it back, the cookieless world is getting closer by the day. Therefore, brands are starting to prioritize the creation of their own databases. Brands will then use them in their future marketing actions, both on their own and on social media. Profile enrichment will also gain importance as getting as much information from the client by whatever means available will be essential to improve conversion.

Promotions with integrated CIAM

Brands with a mature “customer centricity” have incorporated CIAM, which are platforms that allow companies to manage and protect their customers’ identities online. This includes user and password management, identity verification, and access control to certain products and services. Interactive promotions integrate CIAMs (Customer Identity and Access Management) to generate loyalty-building actions in a faster and more scalable way than with purpose-made promotional applications.

Automated giveaways on IG Stories

In 2022, Easypromos launched an automated solution for giveaways on Instagram Stories. This kind of promotion will continue to grow for two reasons: it allows higher exposure and engagement, and it allows users to participate in brands’ actions without the need to post on their personal feed, which is a participation barrier.

AI assisted Content creation

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is a widespread trend in many fields. It will also be implemented in Social Media giveaways, promotional games, and Instant Win promotional actions. AI will assist with image, video, and text creation. As well as in drafting Terms & Conditions and automation of multi-language versions of promotions.

As part of our short and medium term vision we foresee that interactive digital promotions will cease to be tactical and occasional actions and will become the strategic axes on which companies’ customer acquisition and fidelity strategies will pivot. That’s why we recommend keeping an eye on these trends and to start the new year willing to explore and experiment, as we consider it’s the only way to overcome the current economic situation.

At Easypromos we believe that brands are fully aware that they should build complicity with their audience that goes beyond traditional advertising. Easypromos CEO Carles Bonfill states that: “As part of our short and medium term vision we foresee that interactive digital promotions will cease to be tactical and occasional actions and will become the strategic axes on which companies’ customer acquisition and fidelity strategies will pivot. That’s why we recommend keeping an eye on these trends and to start the new year willing to explore and experiment, as we consider it’s the only way to overcome the current economic situation.”

10 Advanced Easypromos tips and features you didn’t know about https://www.easypromosapp.com/blog/en/10-advanced-easypromos-tips-and-features-you-didnt-know-about/ Mon, 09 Jan 2023 11:44:00 +0000 https://www.easypromosapp.com/blog/?p=72895 Dynamic creation of user segments

The users segments feature allows you to tag participants in a promotion to create groups of users. Segmentation allows you to apply conditions to a specific group of users. E.g., restrict the participation to one game or stage to a specific segment.

The possibility of creating segments automatically from a drop-down menu in the registration form is a powerful and little known feature. A direct application of this feature could look like this: Imagine a supermarket chain with several stores. In the registration form, users would choose the store where they usually shop from a drop-down menu. When a user selects X store, the system will assign the user to the X segment. Consequently, the system will only allow the user to participate in the stage assigned to X store. The same system can be applied to contests with defined age groups. When users choose an age group from the drop-down menu, they will only be allowed to participate in the stages assigned to their age group.

Validation using Luhn Algorithm

The Luhn Algorithm, aka mod 10 algorithm, is used to validate identification numbers in, for instance, credit card numbers. At Easypromos, we have implemented the Luhn Algorithm validation in every field where a code is introduced. This characteristic is especially useful in the “Login” screen. Making it possible for users to log in using a code instead of the traditional login methods. (Facebook, Twitter, Linkedin, twitch, email) This code could be a loyalty program number or a VIP users club. Hence, you can create promotions where the users can log in with their membership numbers. Thus, eliminating the need to ask for any other personal information, therefore reducing friction in the login process.

Advanced Easypromos tips

Coupons with a relative expiration date

You can set a relative expiration date for a set of codes. This means the validity period will start running the moment a code is assigned to a user. E.g., a code set can be configured to be valid for 2 hours after the moment it was assigned to a user. This tool must be used together with the Easypromos “Validation Portal” tool. Promotions offering coupons with relative expiration dates are useful to drive traffic to physical or online shops. For instance, a coffee shop could send a newsletter with a Spin the Wheel promotion offering discounts to attract customers to the establishment during the low traffic hours.

Unblocking stages with a code

All the Easypromos games and promotions offer the possibility to limit access to only those users who have a specific code. Starting from this base concept, you can build Multi-Stage promotions with blocked stages. A good example would be designing a digital “Escape Room” using a multi-stage promotion. Only the users who successfully solve the first stage would be able to get the code to access the second stage. One more advanced example would be combining games with Instant Win promotions. For instance, you create a Word Search game where users who score more than 100 points would gain access to a prize roulette with “silver” prizes; whereas users that score more than 200 points would gain access to a prize roulette with “gold” prizes.

Advanced Easypromos Tips

Instant Win prizes determined by the amount of a purchase receipt

In promotions that require uploading a purchase receipt to participate, it is possible to assign prizes depending on the amount of the purchase. As an example, a shop could offer prizes proportional to the amount spent by each customer. With Easypromos, you can configure discounts as prizes to every customer that participates and condition the amount of the discount to the purchase amount in the receipt. Say there are 15%, 25%, and 50%. You could assign the discounts according to the following range:
Purchases between $10 and $20: participant gets a 15% discount.
For purchases between $21 and $30: participant gets a 25% discount.
Finally, purchases above $31: participant gets a 50% discount on the next purchase.

The system will manage the entire process automatically. The users access the promotion, register, upload their receipt, and will immediately receive an email with the discount correspondent to the amount of their purchase.

Dictionaries, the best way to customize texts

Easypromos is a multi-language platform. User screens are available in Amharic, Arabic, Azerí, Bosnian, Catalan, Czech, Chinese (simplified and traditional), Croat, Danish, Dutch, English (UK and USA)Euskera, Finish, French, Galician, German, Greek, Hebrew, Hungarian, Italian, Indonesian, Polish, Portuguese (Brazil and Portugal), Romanian, Russian, Slovenian, Slovak, Swedish, Thai, Turkish, and Vietnamese. Check the updated list of available languages.

It goes without saying that the promotion organizer can introduce the promotion’s descriptive text in any language. But with the dictionary tool, the organizer can customize all the default system texts.

Dictionaries are common to all the promotions in an account, therefore, once a message style has been defined, it can be used for any other promotion. It is also possible to have several active dictionaries for the same language. This feature is especially useful for brands that use a different tone when addressing their audience. For instance, for a brand that appeals to a younger audience, a message like this could be displayed: “Oops! The email address is not valid”. Whereas a brand that appeals to a professional audience would display a message reading: “We are sorry, we were unable to process your email address. Please make sure to use a valid email address.”

Close a stage when the prizes run out

This feature makes it possible to automatically close a stage once all the available prizes have been given away. This is a useful feature in promotions where the organizers wish to distribute prizes among all the participants until there are no more units available. It is available in promotions with one or more stages and for one or more kinds of prizes. Including prizes for participating, instant win prizes, and prizes given by odds.

An ideal use of this feature would be to automatically close a stage in promotions that offer tickets to shows at different times. The idea would be to create a “check-in” style stage for every show. users would register for the promotion and would see a list of the available showtimes. When clicking on one of the options, the system automatically assigns the tickets to the user. Once the available tickets run out, the stage would automatically close. If several users are participating in the same stage, the system will assign the ticket to the first user that completes the registration and will inform the rest of the users that there are no more tickets (prizes) available for that show.

Advences Easypromos tips

Winners management tool

Easypromos features a random winner selection tool for any promotion that requires users to register. It is not necessary to export users and do a manual selection. Everything is automatically managed in the promotion, contest, or game.

The random winner selection tool in the “winners” section of the control panel allows you to pick the winner(s) from among the users who registered for a promotion. You can choose whether to pick the winners from among all registered users or from a specific segment, defined by the information entered by the user in the registration form or by certain parameters regarding the user’s participation (score, correctly answered questions, stages played, etc.). The tool also allows you to give users additional participations and exclude specific users or previous winners.

The system will provide a public Certificate of Validity for every sweepstakes or promotion carried out on Easypromos stating that the winner was picked randomly. It also generates an animated video showing the winners and alternates. Additionally, the organizer can customize and download the video to share on social media or the organizer’s website.

Creation of sections in multi-game promotions

A little-known feature is the one that allows you to create sections within multi-game or multi-stage promotions.

Using sections in a promotion with multiple stages helps create a narrative that strengthens the promotion’s message and makes the users immerse in a fun and engaging experience. For example, if you configure a promotion with several games, you can use the sections to divide the games by difficulty level: easy, medium, or hard. This allows users to progress through different game levels and feel rewarded as they complete each stage.

Furthermore, you can use the “Link Stages” feature, so that a stage cannot be opened until all the stages of the previous section have been completed. This feature is especially useful in promotions aimed at training or education, where tests can be grouped by topic. E.g. How much do you know about marketing? Are you good are you in finance? How much do you know about HR? This allows users to move from one section to another and motivates them to keep participating and learning.

Giveaways on Instagram Stories

We will finish this list with a new feature that we have recently launched and that we would like to share with you.
The automated giveaway on Instagram Stories app is one of Easypromos’ biggest novelties for 2023. As of today, Easypromos is the only application in the market that offers this feature, thanks to Meta opening the API to access the Stories information.

Giveaways on Stories have two modalities: based on replies and based on mentions. Giveaways based on replies increase the volume of interactions with your brand. Whereas giveaways based on mentions will increase your brand’s visibility. This mechanic is especially interesting as participation ratios are higher to traditional mention + hashtag giveaways since users are less reluctant to participate with their own content if it’s posted as a Story as opposed to a post in their feed.

The working of the Stories giveaway is similar to that on Instagram comments and provides the same options to exclude users, apply filters, and select winners.

We hope you find these 10 advanced Easypromos features interesting and useful. We are sure they will give your promotions an extra level of quality. If you have any questions or would like to share your ideas with us, don’t hesitate to request a video call. We will be happy to help you make the most of your promotional campaigns.

Embed Promotions on Your Website with a Pop-Up Widget https://www.easypromosapp.com/blog/en/embed-digital-promotions-with-pop-up-widget/ Wed, 20 Jul 2022 05:30:00 +0000 https://www.easypromosapp.com/blog/embed-digital-promotions-with-pop-up-widgets/ All online promotions have one thing in common: they all aim to attract as many participants as possible. This is why marketers put all their effort into promoting online campaigns, contests, and giveaways.

Social media is always a great medium for promoting any type of content, especially when you manage to convert anonymous followers into leads for your brand. But what happens with all the anonymous users that visit your website leaving no trace of identity behind? It’s quality traffic interested in your brand or product and that’s why it’s crucial to try and gather their details.

So what’s the best way to drive website traffic to your online promotion? We say promoting it with a pop-up widget on your website!

Check out this demo microsite with a puzzle pop-up to get a feel of the user experience.

What is a pop-up widget and why use it?

The general idea behind pop-up widgets is to give users direct access to certain information or content, in this case, a digital promotion, game, contest, or giveaway. This means that every user who visits your website or blog will see the content you want them to see. By using pop-up widgets for your promotion you increase the chances of converting more visitors into participants and therefore leads. When users click on the promotion to participate in it, the widget opens the promotion in a new tab for an optimized user experience.

In the following example, you can see a pop-up widget inserted on the website of a skincare products brand. All visitors had a chance to participate in a Memory game in which users downloaded discount codes for their shopping.

pop-up widget to promote your campaign on website, blog, or e-commerce

Using widgets is therefore a great way of promoting your campaign and reaching more users. If you want to increase your chances of converting them into leads, offer an attractive incentive to all the participants. Remember that most online users don’t like sharing their contact information. But they’re all more likely to fill out your registration form if you give them a chance to win an appealing prize or if you send them out a discount code once they complete the registration process.

widget pop up

Here’s an example from Voom celebrating World Car Free Day. All website visitors saw a clickable pop-up that redirected them to the promotion landing page where they could enter their contact details for a chance to win an ultimate personal shopping cart.

Do you want to embed your promotion on a Wordpress blog or website using a pop-up widget? Learn how to use the Easypromos plugin in this article.

How to configure a promotion pop-up widget

Configuring a promotion pop-up widget is really straightforward. All you have to do is customize your game, contest, quiz, or giveaway using our templates, or design your own campaign from scratch.

One thing you should bear in mind is that the “Welcome Page” of your promotion is the content shown on the pop-up; this makes the welcome page a very important part of your contest, giveaway, or game. Ensure you put enough effort into designing it by introducing less text than usual, presenting the incentive involved in the promotion, as well as adding an encouraging call to action button.

Then, once your promotion is ready disseminate, activate it and go to “Publication resources” on the Easypromos panel, and click on “Widget”.

You will then see a list of all the different widgets that you can configure for your campaign. Once you have selected the one you want, in this case, the pop-up widget, choose the delay and frequency; you can control how many seconds after arriving on your site the widget pops up and how often it pops up for repeat visitors. You then copy the code and insert it into the page you want the widget to be placed.

Pop-up widget in statistics

The one sure thing about digital promotions is that they should be easy to analyze, and if you’ve already organized promotions with Easypromos you will know that that’s the case for all our applications. After finalizing your promotion, you can access the statistics from the Easypromos panel. This is also where you can see the sources – where participants came from.

statistics

In the above example, you can see that more than 28% of participants came from the source “direct”, in this case, the widget embedded on the site.

And here you can see how Dalal Street Investment Journal organized a Spin the Wheel promotion for their Mansoon Offer. Each website visitor that viewed the homepage, had a chance to participate in the promotion.

Generate engagement with a Hidden Objects Game that doesn’t require download https://www.easypromosapp.com/blog/en/generate-engagement-with-a-hidden-objects-game-that-doesnt-require-download/ Tue, 03 May 2022 09:53:00 +0000 https://www.easypromosapp.com/blog/generate-engagement-with-a-hidden-objects-game-that-doesnt-require-download/ A Hidden Objects game as part of your interactive marketing campaign might well be that solution to boost engagement, work on brand awareness, and capture leads. There are, however, some considerations that have to be kept in mind. You might want to ask yourself these questions when it comes to deciding on which platform to use:

The right platform to create a Hidden Objects Mini-Game

At this point, you might be wondering how many tools or different platforms you’d need to juggle to carry out such a gamified interactive marketing campaign. Well, wonder no more!

Launching a Branded Hidden Objects Mini-Game is an ideal alternative for a gamified interactive marketing campaign. Why? It’s perfect for seasonal campaigns like Easter, Halloween, Christmas, St. Patrick’s, etc. It’s entertaining yet simple and easy to play. It can be fully customized using your brand logo, colors, products, or related imagery. This includes using a background image of your choice and defining the areas of the hidden objects, as well as the objects themselves. And these are but a few of the reasons.

Seasonal Hidden Objects Game

Let’s take a look at how the Easypromos platform provides answers to the questions we listed above.

Does the user have to download software to play?

No. Today’s users are justifiably wary of “promotions” that require downloads. Users are much more likely to play and participate if there is no need to download software to their devices. A web-based game that runs on their device web browser is the way to go. All of Easypromos’ gamified solutions are web-based and do not require any kind of download.

Is the game customizable?

Yes. If one of the marketing objectives of your interactive marketing campaign is to strengthen brand awareness and recognition, a game that allows you to personalize it with your brand logo, colors, products, or related imagery is a must. After all, what’s the point of launching a game that does not visually impact the user with your brand? All of the game elements of Easypromos’ Hidden Objects Mini-Game are fully customizable, these include background image, the object to be hidden, and defining the areas of the hidden objects.

Customized Hidden Objects Game

Can I use the Hidden Objects mini game to generate new leads?

Yes. Add a customizable registration form to the game and it will not only engage your audience and increase brand awareness. It will also provide you with qualified leads. You can configure the fields in the registration form to gather the information you’re interested in. Furthermore, the promotion can be configured so that the user has to register to play, or alternatively, users have to register after playing the game to be able to see their scores or to move forward in the promotion process. A textbook example of Zero-Party Data collection good practices!

Yes. There are several ways to combine a Hidden Objects Mini-game with other promotions. Participants that fill out the registration form enter a prize draw. Or use it as a means of distributing coupon codes or discounts and drawing traffic to your website or shop. You can also use the ranking feature to filter the participants that will move forward, e.g., the top ten ranked players enter a prize draw.

Hidden Objects Game Giveaway

Can I manage the distribution of prizes?

Of course. What’s more, you can do it in several ways: Using the ranking to reward the top-scoring players. Or use the Instant Win feature to define specific moments when the prizes will be awarded. You can also give away the prizes randomly among registered users through a final prize draw.

Hidden Objects Game Instant Win

Configuring a Hidden Objects Mini-game with Easypromos is simple, easy, and straightforward. Moreover, you can create an Easypromos account and configure and test your branded Hidden Objects Mini-Game to get a feel of the whole experience. Generate More Engagement with Online Hidden Objects Games https://www.easypromosapp.com/blog/en/generate-engagement-with-hidden-objects-games/ Wed, 20 Apr 2022 07:32:33 +0000 https://www.easypromosapp.com/blog/generate-engagement-with-hidden-objects-games/ Digital marketing makes connecting with potential customers possible, affordable, and easy. Online techniques allow brands to touch base with existing customers, too. Quite often the key to success is engagement.

Why is it important to generate engagement with clients and potential customers? By interacting with content shared by your brand, users become more aware of the product or service that you offer, boosting the overall awareness of your company. Increased engagement also leads to creating new, or fostering existing customer-brand relationships which are a vital part of customer loyalty. Engagement also plays an important role when it comes to word-of-mouth marketing because users enjoy sharing their experiences with workmates, friends, and family. All these reasons prove that engagement is crucial for your brand’s success and our branded Hidden Objects mini-game is one of the tools that can help you boost engagement.

How to create an online Hidden Objects game

Let’s start by making sure that you fully understand the dynamics of online Hidden Objects games. To do so, we recommend you head to our promotion demos where you can find various examples of the interactive dynamic.

Hidden Objects games generate engagement because of their fun and catchy gameplaying dynamics. Users are attracted to gamified promotions by the chance of competing against other users or simply the possibility of trying themselves or their skills. Games in which users look for missing elements are ideal for celebrating popular events, like Christmas or Halloween, promoting new products, or introducing a brand new logo.

Start by designing a creative image that will play the first violin – this is where participation will take place. Are you celebrating Valentine’s Day? Hide some hearts, chocolates, or cupids in the image and ask entrants to spot them. Are you celebrating your brand’s anniversary? Invite users to find logos of your brand hidden in the image.

Take a look at the following example to see how organizers mark areas that must be found by participants. In this case, users looked for factors that cause damage in the house.

hidden objects game example showing how to mark areas

Once you have your image ready, upload it to the Easypromos app and mark the areas of the hidden elements that users must find in other to enter your prize draw. Don’t forget to customize the registration form with your corporate images and colors and to choose what information you want the participants to leave in order to get a chance to win.

Now we will take a look at examples of Hidden Objects games that users can access online, without the need to download apps or software. See how other brands gamify their strategies and generate engagement!

Increase brand recognition by launching a Hidden Objects game with logos

Brand recognition happens when users and customers are able to recognize your brand from auditory or visual cues, for example, logos, colors, or font. Take a look at this example from Shop Mixup. The tech brand wanted to tap into the excitement created by the Olympic Games 2020, while also generating engagement for the brand. They organized a Hidden Objects game in which users looked for the brand’s logos hidden in the Olympic stadium. To attract more users, Shop Mixup disseminated the game on social media, including Twitter.

Promote your products and services with a gamified promotion

Ytong is a manufacturer of concrete blocks with sound isolation. The organizers looked for a way to reinforce this important aspect of their products and to do so, the brand organized a Hidden Objects game in which participants looked to spot noise sources.

There are campaigns that you can’t afford to miss, Christmas and Halloween being some of them. Take a look at this example from a tourism association. The organizers looked for a way to engage their community right before Christmas as they wanted to stay top of mind with customers. To do so, they launched an interactive Hidden Objects game, in which users looked for Christmas presents hidden in the picture.

Another example comes from a beauty products brand that looked to generate engagement as part of their Halloween campaign, while also promoting their products. To do so, they organized a Halloween Hidden Objects game in which they hid some of their bestselling products.

Ten Ways to Access an Easypromos Promotion https://www.easypromosapp.com/blog/en/ten-ways-to-access-an-easypromos-promotion/ Wed, 13 Apr 2022 03:09:00 +0000 https://www.easypromosapp.com/blog/ten-ways-to-access-an-easypromos-promotion/ Every Easypromos promotion generates a microsite with its own URL, through which the user will access to participate. However, there are many ways to access the promotion. Here are nine ways to access for you to choose the one that works best for you:

Promotion URL in a QR code

Accessing the promotion URL through a QR code is the most widely used solution to advertise promotions at the point of sale, an event, a shopping mall, or a trade fair. Print the QR code on posters, roll-ups, flyers, and business cards, or display it on screens. By scanning the code the users will access the Easypromos promotion directly without the need to download additional software. What’s more, most modern mobile phones have a QR reader incorporated into the camera.

Embed a widget on your website

Display your Easypromos promotion on your website using our widget feature. Widgets are a simple code that you can copy into your website to embed the promotion on your site. It’s an ideal solution to draw traffic to your website as users have to visit it to participate in the promotion. Customize the promotion’s background with your website’s color for seamless integration.

Shortened and friendly URL

The URL is the link that a user must type into the web browser to access the promotion. Experience and data clearly show that short and easy-to-remember links work the best. With our White Label and Corporate licenses, you can fully customize the web address to make it easy and catchy. This is to say that promotions creators can use their own domains and subdomains, e.g: www.playwithourbrand.com or spinthewheel.yourbrand.com.

Take the example of Mexican footwear brand Flexi. They redirected traffic from their online shop to a promotion site with its own URL (https://www.juegayganaconflexi.com/) as part of a very successful long-lasting lead capturing campaign.

Through an APP

Easypromos’ promotions can be integrated into a mobile app. The integration design is completely transparent to users, which means that they won’t notice that the promotion is external to the app. Furthermore, with the Easypromos Autologin API, access to the promotion can be integrated with the app’s user registration system. In doing so, users don’t have to register again. Rather, Easypromos will use the app’s user credentials to identify each participant.

Display your promotion on a Pop-Up

In certain cases, you might be interested in displaying your promotion with a Pop-Up. Let’s say a user is visiting your website and after a certain time browsing a pop-up comes up offering a 20% discount in exchange for filling out a survey or free shipping on their next purchase if they subscribe to your newsletter. Easypromos will show the promotion as frequently and for as long as you configure it.

Display the promotion on a banner on your web

A banner is a perfect opportunity for your designers to show off and create a visually attractive access to the promotion. We would recommend that the banner nudges users to participate by showing the prize and participation requirements, e.g “Solve the puzzle and win a trip for two to New York”. Banners can be displayed in any of your digital spaces: website, e-commerce, app, newsletter, users’ area, etc.

The options to share your promotion’s link vary depending on the social network. Twitter, Facebook, or Linkedin allow you to include the link in your post. On Instagram, however, you’ll have to be more creative and share the link on your BIO, Stories, or any of the methods explained in this article. In the case of TikTok, you can share the link in your bio. On Twitch you can share the link on your stream and we also offer an extension to display the promotion’s access link on the streamer’s page.

More and more business are using instant messaging apps (Whatsapp, Messenger, Telegram, etc.) as official communication channels. Use these channels to share the link to your promotions with your clients. E.g. rewarding clients that have already interacted with you via Whatsapp. What’s more, Easypromos can be directly integrated with Whatsapp. As an organizer you can decide which text is shown on Whatsapp when users share their participation with their contacts.

Use your newsletter subscribers to boost your promotion. Include a link to the promotion in your newsletter, use the subject line to talk about your promotion, e.g. “Show how much you know about X and win a prize!”, and watch how the open ratio of your newsletter increases.

In some situations, it will make sense to approach users face to face and invite them to participate in the promotion. The most commonly used dynamic in these cases is the Prize Wheel. For instance, setting up a stand in a shopping mall where users show their purchase receipts and get to spin the virtual prize wheel. Another example could be in a bar or pub where a sales team is promoting a new product. For every consumption, users get a chance to spin the wheel and win a drink or merchandising freebies.

Do you want to learn more about the possibilities that Easypromos offers? Contact us and we will set up a customized DEMO for you.

Save Templates to Announce the Winners of Your Giveaways https://www.easypromosapp.com/blog/en/save-templates-to-announce-the-winners/ Fri, 25 Mar 2022 10:00:00 +0000 https://www.easypromosapp.com/blog/save-templates-to-announce-the-winners/ Many brands have incorporated social media giveaways as a staple in their marketing strategies. If you have already been using the Easypromos tools to announce the winners of your giveaways, you know the time it takes to configure them every time. The good news is that now you can considerably reduce it, after all, time is of the essence!

Set up templates to announce the winners of your giveaways

As a user of Easypromos social media giveaways, you already know that the platform has tools to simplify announcing the winners. Now you can save that customized configuration of those three tools:

 • Winner page.
 • Show mode video in vertical and horizontal format.
 • “Claim your prize” module.

Giveaway winners page template

Once you have replaced the standard image, text, and elements, you can use the “Save as template” button. You might have to modify a phrase here and there for your next giveaway, but the logo or main image will remain the same. And the same goes for the rest of the text that you used in the previous giveaway.

giveaway winners page

Take a look at this example from the winners’ page. It displays a standard prize image and a congratulations text. You can replace them with your brand’s logo or an image of your choice and modify the text to adapt it to your giveaway’s name or prize.

templates to announce the winners

Now that you have put the time into customizing this page, save it as a template for your next giveaway.

Show mode template to announce the winners on social media

This tool has a number of elements to customize with your brand image. Make the most of the time you invest in configuring the first time and reuse it in your next giveaways. You can check out all the options to customize a video to show the winners. It works with horizontal and vertical formats (ideal for Stories). Once you have your design ready, save it as a template and your next giveaways will keep the same format. You can always modify them afterward or keep a basic design to work on.

templates to announce the winners

“Claim your Prize” template

“Claim your Prize” is a tool in microsite format for users to confirm their identity if they have won a giveaway. When users confirm their identity in this module, they have to fill out a form to claim the prize. This gives the brand proof that the winners have been notified and wish to claim the prize. It also streamlines prize management when there are many winners.

This is a good opportunity to provide a customized experience. It’s not the same feeling to access a default page with a neutral text than accessing a page with the organizing brand’s corporate image and texts. Chances are that the “Claim your Prize” page of your next giveaways will use the same elements. Thus, saving a template will save you lots of time when managing your next giveaways. The following example shows how to save the “Claim your Prize” configuration for your next Instagram giveaway.

templates to announce the winners

Features of the “Save as template” tool

Hundreds of giveaways using Easypromos take place every day in different languages and social networks. As you probably already know, the winner selection tools include many filters as well as being transparent and trustworthy. Now you can take it a step further by customizing the design and the “Save as template” feature. These are its features:

Define the language of your giveaway

The default languages of the giveaway tools are English and Spanish. However, you can configure most of the texts to be shown in the language you use to communicate with your audience. This will increase the level of engagement with your community and deliver a more personalized message. Once you save it as a template, you won’t have to translate the texts the next time.

Take a look at this giveaway in Brazil. The giveaway post is in Portuguese, but the winners’ announcement is in English. Even if your audience perfectly understands English, an announcement made in their language will make the audience trust your brand more. Buttons -like “Start”- or the “Thank you” text can be translated and saved as a template.

A template for every organizing brand

Once you save a template, it will be applied to the following giveaways that are organized by the same brand, whichever the social network. Furthermore, templates that you have created can be modified or eliminated any time you wish to do so. Additionally, you can save a specific template for every organizing brand.

This feature is available for plans Basic Pro and above

This feature makes sense for users that organize giveaways periodically and want to save time configuring texts and images to announce winners. This feature is available for Basic Pro and superior plans. Hence, saved templates will be deleted if the Easypromos subscription is canceled.

Did you know that announcing the winners of your giveaways on social media is one more opportunity to draw attention to your brand? Don’t miss out on it! The announcement of winners is a very important moment in your giveaway and an opportunity to show the transparency and trustworthiness of your promotional actions, not to mention the brand exposure that it provides.

Promotions with Receipt Validation in the USA; Legal Aspects https://www.easypromosapp.com/blog/en/receipt-validation-promotions-united-states/ Mon, 14 Feb 2022 05:41:00 +0000 https://www.easypromosapp.com/blog/2022/01/receipt-validation-promotions-united-states/ So, how can we use promotions with OCR technology for receipt validation in these countries? We have asked attorney-at-law Sara F. Hawkins to shed some light on this question. Sara is an expert in internet law, sweepstakes and contests, website and app policies, contract review and negotiation, and trademark and copyright matters with 20 years of experience in the United States.

How to validate receipts in a digital promotion

With the Validate Receipts app, you ask users to upload their purchase receipts for the chance to win a prize. The OCR system scans the receipts and validates them automatically, based on the requirements you establish in the promotion.

The OCR receipt validation can also be used in combination with other promotion types, for example Spin the Wheel. But you need to make sure that this is legal in the country/territory of the promotion. This way, you can create exclusive promotions for your customers, without having to validate hundreds or thousands of entries manually. It’s a good way to turn offline customers into online leads

Consideration in prize promotions in the US

A very important legal aspect of prize promotions in the United States is the concept of consideration. Consideration is anything of value to the sponsor or organizer of the promotion. But it is not only limited to paying or buying something to enter a prize promotion.

In this instance where entrants would be validating a purchase receipt with the OCR technology, clearly, that is consideration. This is why having legal guidance for a prize promotion is important when using new technologies.

The OCR technology may be new to your customers but that learning curve is not deemed consideration. However, it’s a great opportunity to provide a tutorial for customers.

You can learn a lot more about prize promotions in the US in this other article by Sara F. Hawkins.

Adding an alternative means of entry

When planning an OCR promotion, having an alternative means of entry (AMOE) for those who don’t buy a product removes the requirement to make a purchase to participate. Having an AMOE also allows those who may have lost their receipt to participate, cultivating positive brand goodwill.

The AMOE should not require more work or effort for entrants, though you can require those individuals to mail in an entry form rather than utilize a smartphone application or promotion landing page. In addition, the AMOE should not require more information than needed. Furthermore, it should always provide a link to your company’s privacy policy explaining how their personal information will be stored and used.

How to ensure equal dignity in prize promotions with OCR

When selecting a winner, all entrants, regardless of whether they entered using the OCR technology or using an AMOE, must have an equal chance of winning. To maintain equal dignity, those who bought a product should not have a better chance of winning a prize than those who did not buy something. Using an online entry gathering platform helps by aggregating all the data and allowing for a truly random selection from among all the entrants regardless of how they entered.

This means that for a prize promotion in the United States, you should only use the OCR feature to validate the receipts to avoid manual validation, and then enter all the users into a random draw.

Are you planning a prize promotion in the US where you want to validate receipts automatically? Contact our support team and we will help you set it up so you include an AMOE.

There are many things to take into account when organizing a digital promotion. This is why we always recommend seeking professional legal advice to not miss any important requirements.

To see the user experience of the OCR validation, you can try our Validate Receipt DEMOS.

Facebook Gaming Recommends that Brands Own the Players’ Contact Details https://www.easypromosapp.com/blog/en/facebook-gaming-recommends-that-brands-own-the-players-contact-details/ Wed, 22 Dec 2021 05:00:00 +0000 https://www.easypromosapp.com/blog/facebook-gaming-recommends-that-brands-own-the-players-contact-details/ Rick Kelley is Meta’s VP for Gaming, Facebook’s division in charge of live and prerecorded gaming. In Facebook Gaming’s most recent newsletter, Kelly has explained in three videos what’s happening in the industry. And generally, what is happening in the marketing world and everything connected to user data privacy.

In the first video, Kelly states that a confluence of important changes is redefining performance marketing.

“There is a growing, more diverse global audience, a greater demand for privacy, and a changed advertising ecosystem that is impacting the gaming world” explains Kelly. This analysis and its conclusions can be extrapolated to other advertisement sectors, as they fall under the same regulations, and are affected by the same audience trends.

There are close to 3 billion gamers. They are very diverse and have many different motivations and span through all age groups.

Internauts like to play, but they are mindful about their privacy.

Just like we had previously stated at Easypromos, and confirmed by the statistics that Facebook has compiled in the last years, the amount of gamers has increased, especially as of 2020. This was partially influenced by the pandemic and the intensive use of the internet that the lock-downs provoked. There are close to 3 billion gamers in the world. They are very diverse and have very different motivations. Additionally, the span through the whole age spectrum, as shown in this chart from Kantar that Facebook made public.

Gamers age distribution

“As people have become accustomed to gaming anytime from anywhere. They are also more mindful of how businesses use their data. People expect to have the ability to choose and control how they interact with businesses. Whether having a say on what date they share or being more selective in the content they watch. At the core, people want transparency, control, and fair exchange when sharing their data. And this matters as 54% of US mobile gamers are uncomfortable sharing personal information with game developers”. Pointed out Rick Kelley.

Regulations on privacy and use of third-party cookies.

The first of the three-video series that Facebook has launched is titled “Reimagining Games Advertising”. The first one explains how the privacy regulation on the Internet has evolved. There are several milestones in this evolution. This DCN article lays out the history that has led to the cookieless world.

In recent years, governments and regulating bodies have implemented several privacy regulations, as mentioned by Rick Kelley. It all got rolling in 2009 with the E-Privacy guideline. Later on, in 2018, the GRPD was implemented, as well as the CCPA (California Consumer Privacy Act of 2018), effective as of 2020. As a result of these regulations, web-search engine companies have been putting into effect measures to comply with these regulations. Firefox blocked third-party cookies by default in 2019. Google announces that by 2022-23 it will cease to admit third-party cookies. Lastly, Safari started blocking third-party cookies in March 2020.

Privacy regulation evolution

“We support these changes because we want to give people more choice and transparency. However, these changes mean that marketers have less data at their disposal. And this is leading to some real challenges, of which I know you are acutely aware”, concludes Facebook Gaming VP.

Changes in Facebook Ads performance and costs.

It is now harder to evaluate if an Ad has achieved its sales objectives as Facebook Ads reports fail to show it anymore. This is a consequence of the changes in the tracking of users through cookies. In these videos, Facebook acknowledges its clients’ requests and frustration and states that they are actively looking for a solution. Nonetheless, they also note that we are now entering a new level of performance marketing. “The aforementioned changes mean the future will be less reliant on individual third-party data, and this is where we welcome innovation”, stated Rick Kelley. “Businesses will have to think differently about everything: marketing, strategy, creative, privacy; and approach them in new ways. This new approach will define the future of performance marketing”, added Kelly.

These Facebook Gaming videos clearly explain the inflection point in the marketing world that we are currently living in due to regulation changes and the evolution of online audiences. In the second video, Facebook talks about the solutions that Meta is developing to optimize marketing campaigns’ performance on their platform. Finally, in the third video, they recommend the actions that brands should undertake to face this new level -or ecosystem- of performance marketing.

Actions by Meta

Meta’s measures and developments to maximize performance

It looks like many Facebook Ads clients from the gaming sector have expressed their dissatisfaction regarding the campaigns’ performance in the last months. Rick Kelly has said that they are listening to them and taking action in several ways. And that they will continue to develop and inform about them as they are implemented. Furthermore, he groups these measures into three broad categories

 • Reporting improvements
 • Backend performance improvements
 • Campaign management

As an example, he mentions enabling views through conversion to attribution, despite the tracking difficulties. This aspect specifically, has helped improve the attributions in campaigns for IOS 14 and the SKAD network.

There are success cases based on this kind of campaign using the brand’s First-Party Data to optimize ad segmentation.

However, Facebook Ads’ main technology bet is on the Conversions API, which aims to maximize campaign performance as well as safekeeping user privacy. We already have success cases based on this kind of campaign using the brand’s First-Party Data to optimize ad segmentation, reduce cost per action, and measure more accurately.

Meta's action plan

Meta’s recommendations to maximize Facebook Ads performance

The last video in the series focuses on advising brands to implement measures that improve their Ads performance. It starts by pointing out 5 actions that are part of the new performance marketing equation:

The New Marketing Performance Equation

 1. Build a brand that users trust.
 2. Own the relation with your users.
 3. Connect First-Party across your business.
 4. Futureproof your measurement strategy.
 5. Elevate teams and reduce the distance between them.

Kelley highlights that directly obtained data will become increasingly important as third-party data becomes less available. To procure these data, the trust that the brand generates among its users is paramount. The deeper and stronger the relationship between gamers/users/audience and the brand, the more engagement and interaction there will be. Furthermore, it will be less costly for the brand to gather potential or existing clients’ data through Zero-Party and First-Party Data.

Brands can no longer rely on passive user data collection. They must obtain and own their audience data, and therefore, they must have a data collection strategy.

Along these lines, the fact is that brands can no longer rely on passive user data collection. They must obtain and own their audience data, and therefore, they must have a data collection strategy to collect them. Additionally, brands must measure, analyze, and use this First-Party Data to boost their advertising performance. This not only applies to the moment of collection, but it should keep going throughout the whole relationship with the customer.

Build brand trust to collect First-Party Data

Several studies show that users are more comfortable sharing their personal information with a brand they trust. As mentioned by Rick Kelley, “to build your brand, think about every touchpoint as an opportunity to turn a potential player into a loyal fan”. “To source first-party data, you need to own the relationship with players. Consider the ways you can encourage the players to securely share personal information while providing value to their gaming experience. Value can come in many forms, such as a reward or easing up the play”. This is where Easypromos’ solutions can be of great help to brands. Its giveaways, contests, gaming, coupons, and promotion apps allow for Zero-Party Data and First-Party Data data collection in exchange for incentives and prizes.

Build brand trust

A gamers survey from 2021 showed showed that US mobile gamers who were uncomfortable with sharing personal information, would be motivated to do so by:

 • 45% In-game rewards.
 • 35% Easier login/account creation
 • 35% Promotions and deals in-game

“Owning the relationship becomes increasingly important as foundational solutions as the conversion API connects your own marketing data to help optimize Ads marketing, which will also help run privacy-enhancing technologies”, concludes Kelley.

As you know, with Easypromos you have a wide variety of dynamics to attract, motivate, and turn the target audience into Zero-Party Data and First-Party Data. Collect user contact details with all the GDPR warranties. Easily integrate collected data with your email marketing, CRM, or any other database. If you have any questions regarding your next data collection marketing campaign, contact us via live chat, our support team will be happy to help you.

Digital Marketing Trends for 2022 https://www.easypromosapp.com/blog/en/digital-marketing-trends-for-2022/ Fri, 03 Dec 2021 06:42:00 +0000 https://www.easypromosapp.com/blog/digital-marketing-trends-for-2022/ 2022 will be a year of challenges for marketing professionals. Traditional actions will need revalidation and creativity will be the key to exploring new ways of connecting with brands’ audiences. At Easypromos we foresee some trends for the upcoming year and we are sharing them so you can keep them in mind for your next year’s marketing strategy. So get down to business, there is a lot of work to be done!

Marketing trends 2022

1. Prepare for the cookieless world and activate Zero Party Data collection

The law has boarded up users’ privacy. One of the most impactful consequences is the restriction on the use of cookies. Specifically the suppression of third-party cookies that Google has extended until late 2023. It’s a new cookieless world, and the advertising world is the most affected. How will conversions be measured? How will audiences be segmented? The engineering teams at Google and Facebook are already working on the design of new technologies (API conversion, Privacy SAndbox, etc.), but until new solutions are available, what should brands do? The answer is: to have and manage their audience. How? Collecting user contact details with their consent. This is known as Zero Party Data: Information that a user intentionally agrees to share with a brand through a contact form or a digital promotion campaign.

2. Increased use of interactive campaigns as inbound marketing actions

Prioritizing Zero Party makes inbound marketing strategies more and more common. Brands must implement actions to draw visits and turn them into leads (identified users) and using value content is the key. Games, questionnaires, and interactive contents allow brands to draw visitors to their websites and followers to their social networks. Eventually turning them into leads.

3. Keep an eye on Tik Tok and Twitch, two social networks on the rise and growing fast

The evolution of social networks is unstoppable and more often than not, unpredictable. The course that Tik Tok and Twitch are taking, and their level of engagement suggest they will be important in the upcoming years. Many brands are already looking for ways to connect those networks’ audiences. However, the technical development of both Tik Tok and Twitch still doesn’t provide a friendly scenario for promotions. Despite that, giveaways and contests have been coming up, but that is only due to the brands’ and Early Adopters’ creativity. The fact remains that, as of today, these networks don’t have the tools that would guarantee carrying out reliable promotions on their platforms. Nonetheless, if they do develop tools that adapt to the brands’ promotional needs, 2022 could be a year of promotional expansion for them.

4. Gamification extends its reach

“Gamifying” is on everyone’s agenda. Society has acknowledged that playing games contributes to human development, and more and more people spend some of their spare time playing. Smartphones have made access to games widespread and diversified. Thus, in the marketing world, gamifying the relationship with the audience is becoming ever easier and affordable, in addition to showing unidirectional communication of advertisements. Through 2022 we will see brands gamifying their campaigns become a more common strategy.

5. Relational marketing will be the order of the day

Working on “relationship marketing” has always been an interesting approach. However, the changes in the online privacy panorama are making it unavoidable. Once a brand has a contact, it must build a relationship with the customer to finalize the purchase. It is about getting to know customers and potential customers better. CRM, email marketing and messaging automation, and interactive online dynamics will become fundamental to achieving this objective. The tools are there, but the tactics have been poorly exploited by most companies. In 2022 we will see the rise and evolution of these kinds of actions.

6. Increase of interactive actions for internal audiences

The COVID-19 lockdown made the need for internal audiences evident for companies: being able to communicate, doing online team building, getting customers and employees feedback, etc. These months of high online interaction provided a testing field and many companies have continued using it. Consequently, 2021 brought about a rethinking of the workplace formula and consequently, interactive actions with employees, suppliers, partners, collaborators, and the like, have become customary.

New call-to-action

7. The era of “code-free” marketing tools

Marketing professionals have increased the need and frequency of digital solutions for their campaigns. Nonetheless, in-house marketing teams cannot develop the necessary tools to satisfy these needs quickly enough. Therefore, it has become customary for brands to look for external automated solutions to create interactive dynamics for their campaigns. Thus, allowing them more independence and faster campaign launch times. Automation of email marketing has become more widespread and has got a foothold in other areas such as the creation of microsites, interactive applications, contests, and games. As a result, today’s marketer is looking for ready-made, template-based solutions, without the need of programming and easy to customize and disseminate.

2022 will be the year to get ready for the cookieless world. Brands must prepare for this because, as of today, it is still not entirely clear how segmentation will be managed and how digital marketing campaigns conversion will be measured. On the other hand, working on consented user data collection (Zero Party Data) is to invest in success, and a safe bet for marketing teams in the years to come. The challenge lies in finding the best formula to collect this data. At Easypromos we know we are on the right path: interactive and gamified campaigns with prizes and incentives.

How to Launch a Giveaway with HubSpot Integration https://www.easypromosapp.com/blog/en/launch-giveaway-hubspot/ Tue, 11 May 2021 01:47:00 +0000 https://www.easypromosapp.com/blog/launch-giveaway-hubspot/ In previous articles, we’ve outlined how to integrate your online giveaway with HubSpot and the benefits of running giveaways with HubSpot. But do you know how to prepare for a giveaway with HubSpot integration?

We’ll look at what things to keep in mind and which steps to take before launching your giveaway. This will ensure that you carry out your online giveaway more efficiently, from start to finish. Doesn’t that sound like a good idea?

Segment your audience

The first – and possibly the most important – step is to identify your target audience and your buyer persona. The buyer persona is a semi-fictitious representation of your ideal customer.

How do you know who your buyer persona is? You will have to analyze several factors, such as demographic characteristics, behavior, and the needs and motivations of your ideal customer. Your type of business model (B2B, B2C, or E-commerce), and whether you sell a product or a service, will also have a bearing on how you find your future leads.

There is an endless supply of templates that can help you define your buyer persona so you can segment your audience and focus on those who are more likely to become customers. Segmentation helps you understand who you should target and decide which channel is best for finding new clients (social networks, blog articles, paid content, etc.).

Think about the information you want to get from your leads

Once you have defined the who, it’s time to start thinking about the what. In other words, what relevant information do you wish to obtain from your leads? For example, which is more useful to you: knowing what type of buyer persona the lead is, or knowing the lead’s telephone number? The answer is, of course, it depends.

For a salesperson it may be more useful to have a lead’s phone number; but the marketing team might prefer to know what kind of buyer persona the lead is, so they can work on a content marketing strategy first, only passing the contact on to the sales department when said contact is ripe for a sale.

At the end of the day, everything is defined by the objective of your online giveaway. Do you want to broaden your database and organize it in a CRM like HubSpot? Do you want to find out what your leads think about a particular product? Or maybe you just want more information? It’s important that you spend a few minutes on these questions to make it easier for you to define and configure your online giveaway.

Decide which type of giveaway meets your needs best

The next tip is to define how. In other words, which type of promotion is best suited to achieving your goal?

In Easypromos you’ll find a wide variety of applications and platforms for carrying out your online contest. At first, you might feel a little lost when choosing which app to use to create your promotion, but fear not: the Easypromos team has your back. We will happily answer any questions you may have and advise you about which giveaway will work best for you.

To make your search easier, here are some contests that include HubSpot integration:

 • Entry Form Giveaway. Capture leads to enlarge your database in your email marketing campaigns.
 • Games apps. Increase participation and convert new leads for marketing and sales actions.
 • Contest apps. Import all participants to your HubSpot database.
 • Quiz apps. Send HubSpot the information provided by your users in your quizzes, surveys and tests.
 • Coupon and code apps. Send HubSpot the information provided by users in their responses to your questions.

Here is a practical example of highly useful HubSpot integration:

Imagine that you are working on a lead capture strategy for a company that offers services for events. One of the company’s objectives is to find out which of their services is most popular with future leads.

One option could be to create a contest with the Knowledge Quiz app and then register all the information provided in HubSpot.

With this type of promotion, you can ask a variety of questions regarding the degree of knowledge and satisfaction with services provided by the company, and you can either reward each person who participates in your contest (with a coupon or offer) or you can randomly pick one or more winners from among participants.

What are we looking for when we launch a Knowledge Quiz? To incentivize participation, learn about the tastes and preferences of your leads via an easy, dynamic method, and register all the information within your CRM in HubSpot in a systematic manner.

Integrate with HubSpot and create compatible fields

Let’s review. You’ve segmented your audience and defined your buyer persona, you’ve thought about what information you want to obtain from your leads and you’ve chosen which app to use to run your online contest. Once you’ve reached this point, all you have to do is set up your promotion with Easypromos, integrate with HubSpot and launch it!

To do this, follow the steps provided by the platform to set up the giveaway. But before activating the promotion, integrate it with your HubSpot account so that all the new leads are automatically registered in your CRM.

As a final step, choose each of the fields of the form that you have previously created with HubSpot properties so that all the information is in the section that it touches.
